REMOVE YOUR CHILD FROM THIS DAYCARE, THIS PLACE ALLOWS ABUSE AND NO CARES FOR YOUR CHILD!!!!! My daughter attended this school for at least 2 years, and 3 incidents happened, the biggest one, being when I picked up my daughter with a black eye. The teacher then, Jessica, claimed she was going back & forth with an object with a boy, like tug-o-war. The kid let go, and the object hit her right under, creating darkness. Can you just imagine picking up a 4-year-old, with a black eye, like someone punched your baby? 3 or 4 months ago before this incident, I was approached by the director, that a boy had eyes for my daughter, he was showing with love taps, and it was happening strongly to the point he was trying to get her attention, my baby was unaware what was going on. The Director talked with him and his parent that these actions were not okay. This was the same boy going back & forth with my daughter, creating a black eye. I’ve added everything up, and 5 years later, I do believe this young boy hit my daughter, no one told me the truth. I was a very young mom fooled by this story. They got me good. I NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH!!!! I DESERVE IT!!!! FREEMAN AND THE DIRECTOR know, I saw suspension in her eye, like she knew something more. The crazy part was after this incident took place, 3 days later, I received a call from the director, asking me what happened to my daughter's black eye, I was at a gasp when she asked me, what do you mean, you should know, you are the owner of this building. She asked me this question like if it was me who hurt my baby? What Director does not know what's going on in her building?! Here is the best part, she called me to come to the building to watch footage of what occurred… she wasted my time, LETTING ME KNOW IN HER OFFICE THAT HER CAMERA DOES NOT WORK!!! THIS IS VERY CONCERNING, 5 YEARS LATER, COMMENTS ARE CLAIMING FROM PARENTS THAT HER CAMERAS STILL DON'T WORK!!!!! THIS DAYCARE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!! This whole story is disturbing, I am a mother seeking the truth of what happened to her daughter !
Upper Room Kids Academy is the best Child Care Development Center that exist. They have provides that are very caring, nurturing and responsive to every child’s needs. They offer a variety of experiences for all children where they are open and honest. I have personally experienced positive interactions between the providers and the children. Learning opportunities are developmentally appropriate, interactive and plentiful. The owner, Mrs. Lasharee Rogers is a gem. Her actions and knowledge shows that she cares deeply about her staff and her children. There is no better place than Upper Room Kids Academy for your child care needs.
Would never ever ever recommend this daycare to a parent that cares about their child. New York native director/owner funds her real estate career with all the money coming into this daycare. Which is why it operates the way it does. I guess she saw how bad her reviews were so she sent in some fake ones. She even got my old review deleted which is why I’m making a new one. My daughter fell at this school and had a golf sized knot on her head and the story changed multiple times. The cameras were never working. The owner is just a nasty person. She was so mad I reported her she decided to wait for me one day and get nasty with me in the hallway in front of my kid and all the other children. Just insane really. And Mrs. Freeman who worked there was nasty. I came in one day during nap time and heard her being nasty screaming at the children. This place is a mess.
Do not recommend. Very high student turn over rate. Dismisses children with no notice. Owner has control issues and thinks every child has developmental issues. Gives no times for patent intervention. Director is demanding - Do what I say or else. Even the employees act scared. On more than one occasion, I showed up to the school to find an employee dyeing her hair in the sink. One "teacher" literally refused to speak. Personal items always missing.
One of the best daycares' in Concord. I have a child with O.D.D and they took every measure possible to work with him. My son and I am very thankful for them.
