This childcare center needs a complete overhaul. If I could give it zero stars I would. The owner is only concerned with money and not servicing the families of the community. For example there have been multiple confirmed cases of hand-foot-mouth disease in this center. The carpets were only cleaned when the State of Michigan Children Services Division ordered them to do so. There is no academic curriculum, and teachers are left to their own devices when it comes to lesson plans for the day. There is also a high turnover rate for employees because the owner fires people at random with or without cause. This creates an extremely low moral for all of the workers there. Which is terrible for the students because there is no consistency in teachers, rules, curriculum, cleaning routines etc. l submit this review as a parent and former employee. Finally, as a certified teacher with 15 years of experience l had to report abuse that multiple the children dealt with at the hands of one of the current employees. The owner was made aware of the abuse and still decided to employ the individual. Finally her payroll practices are dishonest, and shorts employees money on a bi-weekly basis. The sad part about all of it is that the center is run by a Christian Pastor that does not display Christ like qualities when it comes to honest business principles. PARENTS BEWARE!

I believe this daycare is closed . I tried to call them for days and it went to voicemail then I called yesterday and the phone was disconnected. I decided to go to the daycare and there was a no trespassing sign in the window and a court order for Comerica Bank vs tiny town university. Its actually very disturbing reading these reviews. My brother went here when he was a child and he learned so much and loved it . I even sent my baby here for about a month . I explained I couldn't afford it and the owner was going to help me out. If these reviews are true that's very sad that is had gotten so bad over the years . Not sure what happened but it'll be sad to see tiny town go .

I could not recommend this school to anyone!! My son was seriously injured at this school on two separate occasions, by students. The first incident – my 6 y/o son was stabbed between the eyes by another boy (6 y/o) with a toy screwdriver, after being separated twice that day for fighting each-other. How could Tiny Town allow a third altercation between the children, and one that resulted in an injury like this!! That boy’s parents were only informed of the incident. The school took no action to convey that this type of behavior would not be tolerated. It was brushed off as child’s play. My kid could have been seriously injured!!! Days later, that same child picked up a 2 y/o girl, and threw her on the ground. The school did not inform the little girl’s mother of the incident when she came to pick her child that day, so I did.. Still, the child’s bad behavior was well tolerated by TTU. Next my 6 y/o son was continually shoved head first into metal fixtures on the school bus by a 14 y/o boy. He suffered multiple contusions to chin, cheek and head. FIRST ISSUE - The center provides care for children ages 3 months – Kindergarten, as well as latch-key service for elementary school students. This 14 y/o boy is not even an enrolled student! He is the son of an employee at the school, there for he is always there. AGAIN THE INCIDENT WAS DOWN PLAYED BY OWNERS OF TINY TOWN!! THEY DID NOT EVEN SUSPEND THE KID THAT DID NOT BELONG THERE FOR A DAY. In order to get any action, I had to file a police report with the Southfield Police Department, and request that the kid be charged with assault. The police department took the matter very seriously, because it was. When questioned by the detective, the Owner of the school described the incident as “horseplay”. Finally I had to with-drawl my kid from Tiny Town. At the expense of the children, the owners just don’t want to uphold any disciplinary policy that may that may affect their pockets in any way. Aside from previously described incidents, my kid hated Tiny Town and could not wait to get out of there. Because the care providers clearly have no background in child psychology, they came across as mean and impatient. They truly only knew to yell at the children in order to gain their cooperation, make them sit silently, let them watch TV, or just run wild. I have seen children be jerked around and even spanked by staff. If you don’t mind an “old school” approach when it comes to your child, then TTU is the place for you.

Used to be a good day care , but now they are very ghetto. If it snows they will decide that day when your dropping your child off that their going to close early, leaving you to scramble to find some one to pick them up early. I feel like they don’t teach the kids anything.
