I moved to Columbia, SC after completing the rehab program at Morris Village with only the clothes on my back. Alicia Lightbourne, from Lutheran Services was able to pay my entrance fee at an Oxford House, get me a Food Lion gift card, clothes and bus tickets to get around the city of Columbia. Then I finally got a full time job and she got the work boots I needed and more clothes for my job. Lutheran Services and Alicia were a tremendous help to me and I wouldn't be in the position I'm in if not for them. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to you Alicia Lightbourne. I'll never forget you and what you did for me.
Great experience with Erin. She really cares about recovery and helping others. I thank God for her.
Very bad service for my friend family. I would not recognize for any refugee from any country. If you have friend or relative at that City will be fine. If not compare with other state services, they are too slow. Differcult to contact with Case worker. Sorry But I have to let the other people know.
Wonderful organization providing help for many different types of families as well as people of all ages/ethnicities/genders. They provide services for both local community families/individuals and those who have been dislocated nationally/internationally (refugees as some call them whether by natural disasters or wars, they are here now and as such are new members of our community).
I have been in Columbia since 2022 USCIS referred me to this Lutheran agency, i got different experience -&+ from this service agency, from most of migrants I heard about Stacey Keller and Renee they are working well with migrants They are very respectful people and have good behaviors with migrants they are always listening for migrants problems with open mind, they do as much as in their hands Some of foreign case workers they are not doing their job properly, no answer the phone & text messages ,in short word playing & kidding with migrants
