Everything so good worth a 5-star except one super annoying thing! Explanation for deduction of the 2-3 stars: Sloppy and unresponsive housekeeping. 1) only one trashcan provided for bathroom but nothing in living room 2) not cleaned the trashcan with disposal of foods for many days so people have to put it outside of bathroom 3) complained the residents why not to return the trashcan to bathroom rather than why they did not clean the food-smelled trashcan day by day. Trying to take advantage of other people’s faults to cover or shirk their own responsibilities. 4) Petty and Malicious People Who Schemes behind Others’ Backs-BACKSTABBERS: instead of communicating with the residents when they were still there and more than willing to corporate when they have any requests, not to speak anything in face but put all the complaints behind people’s back to ask the organizers to notice. Made residents feel quite uncomfortable by shrewdly dealing with communication in this way. ***If you housekeepers are not able to communicate with people in English when you see people are there, using a Translator is totally fine. 5)all complaints to others but never had sense about their faults. Took detergent pods and restaurant/convenience store’s receipts away from the surface of desks! Made me have to buy the detergent again. And made me lost my receipt to cast accounts! No one informed me things put on the desk surface should be considered as trash by these people!!!
Best dorms on campus! There is so much here: a pool, a track, beach volleyball courts, dining commons, tennis courts, basketball courts, and conference center.
At least in the building I was in, the floor was not well maintained and had multiple issues with cleanliness as well as the showers and sinks. I dealt with repeated ant infestations over my year here and all in all did not enjoy my stay.
The university was beautiful and large. It has the awe of it's own.
Pretty campus. Lots of paths through the campus where the kids can explore on bikes. Great activities for the kids in the camps run by UC Berkeley in the summer. I've been here for conferences, too, and the facilities are nice. However, there is not very much bicycle parking, especially not around the conference hall, and I've always ended up locking my bike to the railing.
