This church is all about family, I'm in the military and ended up finding this church on accident. I have been going to Tucson Baptist for several years now and I've found that this must have been God's plan because I've found a new family that lives and cares about me as if I were their family. I truely love this church and I hope you will too.
The church i grew up in from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Great memories I will forever cherish with my family.
I want to like this church, I really do. The pastor is nice, messages are solid, music is good and it's a nice building. However, of all the churches I've visited over the years in numerous states: I've never encountered such an unwelcoming congregation, the only people who will talk to you are fellow visitors and the pastor when he singles you out. Church members will physically move away (if possible) from visitors to avoid engaging. On the flip side: this congregation seems to have an unnatural fixation on children which makes me exceptionally uncomfortable as a parent. I personally recommend streaming services over attending in person.
I googled a Baptist Church before leaving Missouri going back to Tucson and asked my pastor what his thoughts were he agreed with my choice. I then had a chance to attend a Sunday morning service and I was more than impressed and the warm greeting I experienced was beyond my expectations. I was housed in a mission with strict guidelines and wasn't able to get on a scheduled time to visit with the pastor last winter due to circumstances of mine to become a membership since then I have gotten married to my precious loving and understanding wife Charlotte and now we reside 0.3 miles away from Tucson Baptist Church and as we drove by to our new home my wife said there's a church for us right here by the house. I looked and smiled so big and realized how much our Lord is in my life and amazed how He has directed me and now my wife to this friendly awesome church to give Him thanks and to worship Him. I can't say enough about the good of this church and how it's has been meant to be my place of worship. Thank you all. Scott and Charlotte Buchanan
