I can't recommend CAI's preschool enough. We toured 4 other preschools before choosing this one and it's been wonderful for our son. Everyone at the school really loves and cares for the kids, and some of the teachers have been there for over 20 years. My son adores his teachers and loves seeing his friends. The class sizes are small, rooms are fun and welcoming, and there is a great outdoor area. You do not have to be Jewish to attend, but your child will get to learn about Jewish celebrations and songs. The classrooms are all vegetarian and nut-free. The preschool is also one of the few (non-daycares) I found that will assist the students with potty-training. It really has been a great experience for us and for our son.
We have had such a wonderful experience at this preschool. From the very beginning, the staff made our daughter feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and attentive, and it’s clear how much they truly care about each child’s growth and well-being. Our daughter has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically since starting here. She comes home happy, confident, and eager to share what she learned each day. The environment is nurturing, fun, and well-structured, with a great balance of play and learning. Communication with parents is excellent, and we always feel informed and supported. We are so grateful to have found a preschool that feels like an extension of our family. I would highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a loving, high-quality early childhood program.
We love this preschool so much! It’s got experienced and caring teachers and staff, amenities galore, and safety. Bonus is that it’s incredibly affordable and they have flexible partial day and week options for little ones. My family is not part of the synagogue but we have been welcomed and loved by the community here. I’m so grateful we found this preschool!
Having moved to Tucson during the pandemic and shortly after having our first child, I cannot put into words how grateful I am that we found an amazing pediatrician who recommended this preschool for our family. Over the past 4 years the teachers and staff at the school have helped co-raise our two children and we are eternally grateful for the creativity, love, and kindness that they show our kids every day. They love their school. They LOVE their teachers. They love their classmates. They never want to go home when we pick them up at the end of the day. What more could we ask for. We are both working parents and need a place to have our kids all day. We started both kiddos there when they were 1 1/2 and they both instantly settled in and instantly loved school. The class sizes are small, which is great, and as others have mentioned many of the instructors have been there for a long time, which made all the difference to me in finding a trustworthy place for our babies. Also, this place has never felt like a daycare. Every day is full of thoughtful age-appropriate activities that make our kids feel that they are stimulated and always growing in a learning environment. Sometimes I joke that we should call it the Esther B Feldman "Art Institute" for preschoolers as they do so many amazing arts and creative projects. My husband also teaches music in Spanish to the kiddos there once a week, and loves it. We are not a faith-based family, and there are many Jewish and non-Jewish and mixed families in this community and all are welcome. My kids have loved learning about Jewish traditions (as have I as someone who has Jewish heritage). They have incorporated many little traditions into their weekly routines and used them to help form and shape their values in beautiful ways I imagine them sustaining beyond their time at this school. Not only are the teachers great but the leadership and administration are so wonderful to work with and genuinely care about our little ones, and I am so grateful for that. As part of the community they foster the admin and teachers send lots of daily updates and photos of our kids, which is so wonderful! Finding schools for kids is so hard, but if I can offer any parents out there the advice that was given to me when I came to town when I was uncertain and lost and looking for a safe and loving place to send my kids, please let me recommend this school with full certainty. It is a really special place and by far the best parenting decision I have made thus far on this journey!
This school is a gem hiding in plain sight! From the moment you arrive in the parking lot greeting other parents to making your way to the classroom the warmth and care makes you feel all is right in the world. So very grateful to have found this gem!
