We would like to recommend DMHNS. We first heard about DMHNS through other parents in our child’s class at Del Mar Hills Academy. After touring several preschools, we ultimately chose DMHNS. There were clear reasons for our decision. We felt that the teachers genuinely care for each child with warmth and attention, and that gave us a strong sense of trust. Our child quickly adapted to the new environment, especially thanks to the daily Singing Time where all the children sings together. Singing with parents and friends helped ease the transition and made preschool feel fun and welcoming. My daughter truly enjoys going to preschool. Based on our family’s experience, we warmly recommend DMHNS to any parent looking for a preschool that offers both caring guidance and meaningful activities.

What a great school! It is a very different type of school and is based on play however the prekindergartens are prepared well for kindergarten.My 2 daughters attended this warm, nurturing preschool. I spent a good year researching just the right school for my oldest daughter. What stood out above all other Carmel Valley preschools was the overall feel of the place. I observed happy and engaged children. The teachers were excellent and truly cared for all the children. They are well educated teachers who take pride in what they do and how they interact with the children. The music program is A+. The playground was designed by a committee of both parents and teachers who felt it was important that the children get in touch with nature. Any concerns that I had, I brought before the administration and found they were always addressed swiftly, with sensitivity, and with fairness. I loved this school and only wish that they had a primary school.

My younger son attended DMHN school for a little bit over two years. We decided to switch from very strict Montessori educational approach to softer combination of Emilio Reggie with some Montessori elements and Orff musical education. Looking back, I have to say that it was the best decision for our son. He attended pre-K and Kindergarten and was able to learn how to share, read, write and use simple addition/subtraction. This school has a great family-like atmosphere and helps to develop talents in every child. DMHS has very diverse and international staff and students, all possible holidays are recognized and celebrated there. The schedule is oriented on the working parents but you can also put your child for two or three days per week. School has the lowest teacher/child ratio in North County Coastal and has highly educated and loving personnel; there are several former DMHN-students' parents among current teachers and two former students of the school are working there now. Other teachers are working there for many years and have other responsibilities to fulfill their passion- involvement in art and design project, gardening (garden looks amazing). There are local families, which put their second, third and forth children in this school. This school would work the best for both types of families staying at home parents and working full time. Location is great, it's situated along Del Mar Heights road and 101. The only difficulty is a parking in the morning, because all parent would like to enjoy morning singing time with their kids

Amazing place, great educational concept and great staff! After our relocation our son felt homy there within days.
