What Parents Say
Trinity United Methodist Preschool is a religious facility with a 4.7/5 Google rating. Reviews predominantly praise the church's community involvement, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere. However, the limited reviews specifically about the preschool itself make it difficult to assess daycare-specific experiences.
When the Territory of Florida was opened to settlers in 1822, after the Seminole Indians were moved to central Florida, circuit riders came from South Carolina to start a Methodist mission. In 1824, they began the first religious organization in Tallahassee, the newly designated capital of the Territory of Florida. Ten people met at the home of a Mr. Myers on the fourth Sunday of September in 1824 to organize the congregation that was to become present-day Trinity United Methodist Church. That first group of people worshiped in a wooden building, on the corner of what is now Park Avenue and Bronough Street. In 1840, the Methodists built the stuccoed brick building, pictured above center, on this current site. In 1845, the year Florida became a state, the Florida Methodist Conference was organized here at Trinity. The church built another building, pictured above, on this same site in 1893. In 1964 the current structure was built.
My granddaughter IRIS has been baptized! I pray that she will grow well under God’s protection and that my family's faith will grow. Thank you!
I’m not sure how great this church is on a Sunday morning, this review is for people looking to get married here. This church doesn’t work well as a wedding venue sadly. I am a professional photographer, and I wasn’t told of the guidelines for the church until I got there. I am a very flexible person and I love complying with the rules of the churches I’m shooting at, but brides listen. They told us that we weren’t allowed to 1. Move 2. Go in the aisle 3. Sit in a pew even if we didn’t move from it 4. Walk anywhere except the very very back area and 5. We couldn’t stand next to the videographers who were set up ON stage even if we didn’t move from them. We were stuck 4 rows into the 30 or more row church, relying on our zoom for everything. If I had known these guidelines before the wedding I would’ve equipped properly, but there was no way around it. I have yet to meet 2 elderly women that strict and just plain mean in the wedding industry. I asked all the ways I could do this and instead of taking me seriously, I was told that I could leave if I couldn’t comply. I guess they thought I was giving them attitude instead of wanting to provide the bride and groom with their forever memories. Not only that, but these two ladies held my photography company responsible for getting the flower girls bags from one place to another **NOT OUR JOB** and were asking us if we knew where the marriage license was once we arrived onto the property, which again, not our job. I don’t get it. Their photography guidelines are extreme in my opinion, and the ladies were not helpful or understanding, but mean with a smile. I get that weddings are crazy and you need people who are in control to be firm, but I’ve been doing this almost a decade and have not experienced that behavior ever. ***again this is not a review for Sunday morning, but brides looking to get married here! Please inform your photographer of the crazy guidelines, and read everything carefully. I heard they were upset with the flowers the bride brought in because they were too little. Apparently they require you to provide the church with flowers for Sunday morning and then give you dimensions to meet. You can’t make this stuff up people***
The kindness of this congregation easily offsets the Covid 19 requirements. Thank you Trinity for staying open with a mask requirement. Online and in person, you always make me feel God's infinite love and care.
