Trinity Day Care Center

My son went to Trinity for about a year, didn’t have any issues at all until a few months ago when my wife dropped our son off in the morning and saw they were eating tortillas rolled up with sugar in them. Not thinking that was the best breakfast my wife texted Jill asking about the breakfast and she quickly informed her they were completely legal with that meal. She told her that they did not technically serve breakfast but a “ Morning snack” so it was legal for them not to serve up to breakfast standards. (It did say on their FB page that they serve breakfast at that time ) My wife called KDHE to confirm if that was the case. I talked to miss Jill and she told me the same thing, I suggested she introduce and fruit or protein along with the cereal or other grain and she agreed! I also mentioned it seemed dishonest to put on facebook that you serve breakfast but when asked about it say you serve a “morning snack” A couple weeks past and I asked how the whole fruit thing was going and her exact words were “ I’m not going to change the morning snack at all because you guys jumped the gun and reported us” she was very defensive from the jump and even accused my wife of lying, she complained that they were charged for KDHE coming out to see they’re daycare. We pulled my son out the next day. I don’t have a problem with the morning snack, my problem is with Jill’s handling of the situation, her offense that we called KDHE , the dishonesty of saying you serve breakfast when in reality it’s a snack and basically retaliation for calling KDHE. If I’d known the different from the beginning we would have given my son breakfast before daycare.

Had a great experience for years haven't had my child there since October but yet Mrs. Jill took all my child care off of my card 2 days ago. Which seems crazy cause I only owed her roughly 300 which she took a extra 200 off my card for almost a whole year. Dcf was giving me 1260 tuition was only a 1060 so not until I said something she was taking the extra 200!!!! I called to get the EIN number for my taxes she refused to give it to me and helped herself.

Overall I love this daycare, at the end of the day I use to question myself if I should worry about how they speak or their tone is to the kids but I have learned the tough way that tough love is also okay, they are not harsh at all. On the plus side, my daughter does grace anytime we eat, she has manners saying “yes please” “No thank you” , and I give all the thanks to her teachers for showing her right from wrong and being tough on her when needing to be and loving on her as much as needed as well! ALSO within a week of her changing daycares from TOP to here she learned to potty in the toilet, TOP told me she wasn’t showing interest but here at Trinity it was like they just knew how to handle it and they never forced, yes a little bribing did the trick and now she poops and pees all by her self!

My daughter absolutely loves it there, mornings are a lot easier because she's so excited to see her friends & teachers! They are so friendly and welcoming and my child has learned so much snice being there!
