The Whole Child Development Center

As a parent, finding the right daycare can be stressful, but from the very first day, I knew the right choice was Rise Above. The teachers and staff are so kind, patient, and truly care about every child. The classrooms are bright, clean, and full of fun, educational activities that keep the kids engaged and learning all day. I’ve noticed such amazing growth in each of my child’s confidence, communication, and social skills since starting here. They really focus on helping each child reach their full potential while still letting them be kids and have fun. The communication is also fantastic — we get daily updates, pictures, and notes about what our child is doing and learning, which gives me such peace of mind while I’m at work. I can’t say enough good things about Rise Above Early Learning Center. It truly feels like a family, and I’m so grateful for the love and care they show all three of my children every single day. Rise Above Early Learning Center has been such a wonderful place for our family! My children have learned so much since starting here — not just academically, but socially and emotionally, too.

My daughter has attended Rise Above since she was 5 months old, and she recently graduated to the toddler/1 yr old room. The teachers and staff here are so genuinely kind and loving with my daughter and I never doubt she is being well cared for throughout the day. At 9 months old, my daughter was diagnosed with a medical condition which requires her to wear a brace for 1-2 hours while she is at daycare. Her teachers in the infant and toddler rooms are so accommodating and supportive of this need, and have gone a step above to make the adjustment as easy as possible for her. The infant room is large, newly updated, has a shoes-off policy for cleanliness, and has plenty of new toys and natural light. Most importantly, the instructors in that room are experienced in the industry and incredibly loving with our baby. Our experience so far in the toddler room has been great as well. At morning drop-off, I hardly have time to say goodbye before my daughter toddles aways to say hi to her teacher and friends. From a curriculum standpoint, Rise Above is always doing activities that foster fine motor skills, confidence, creativity, appreciation for art, science, and diversity. I know my daughter has experiences here that she likely would not receive at other facilities or if she stayed home. I am very glad we chose Rise Above!

I can't say enough good things about our experience in this last year with the new ownership, and the peace of mind they have brought us. Our 4-year-old has been going to Rise Above since the week she turned 2. Our first year there was "ok". There was a lot of turnover in teachers though, and we were unhappy that she wasn't able to have good consistency with her development. So we were looking to move, did several interviews and even had a new place lined up. But then Jan 1, 2024, Holly and Charles took ownership and when I tell you the transformation has been INCREDIBLE. I saw the previous owner in person maybe 3 times. But Holly is there every single day. She is watching kids, hands-on, getting to know all the families, and always available to talk about any concern big or small. They have transformed the building both inside and out to be a beautiful, calming and welcoming environment. Our 1-year-old now goes there as well, and there is not a single teacher in that building that I don't trust to take care of our girls as their own. The mobile app is so nice and helpful to communicate quickly and easily, and I love getting updates and pictures throughout the day to see what they are up to. I am amazed every day my preschooler comes home learning something new - and I'm confident they have prepared her as well as anyone could for kindergarten.

The new owners of Rise Above have completely transformed the center from what it used to be (in other words, don’t read any reviews posted before Jan 2024 as the owner was completely different). The space is now beautiful, clean and full of educational materials. The teachers use a curriculum that balances learning, sensory, music, art and open play. My kids have really bloomed due to the amazing teachers who care, love and educate.

I am beyond impressed with the transformation that Rise Above Early Learning Center has undergone under its new ownership. Since Holly and Charles took over, they’ve worked tirelessly to make incredible improvements to each classroom and the building itself, creating an environment where children can truly thrive. Their passion for early childhood development shines through in everything they do. The new name, Rise Above, perfectly captures their mission—to elevate the care, education, and overall experience for every child who walks through the doors. The rebranding is just the beginning of what I know will be an inspiring journey of growth and innovation. One of the many things that sets Rise Above apart is their commitment to bringing the community together. Their recent kick-off party, which was open to the public, featured music, delicious food, a guest appearance from KC Wolf, and fun activities for the entire family. Events like these create a sense of togetherness and show how much Holly and Charles care about building strong relationships, not just with the children and families they serve, but with the community as a whole. Holly and Charles take great pride in their work, and it’s evident in the warmth and attention to detail at every level. Whether it's the engaging activities, the updated facilities, or the supportive staff, Rise Above is a place where children feel safe, loved, and inspired.
