We knew when our family started our journey at The Village School that it was a bucolic setting with a beautiful outdoor space, bright and cheery classrooms with fantastic teacher/student ratios, and the emergent play-based curriculum that we were looking for. What we didn't know is that The Village School would become the cornerstone of our family life and set the foundation for lasting friendships and connections for our kids and us too. The director and teachers are so devoted and dedicated to getting to know each individual child and meeting them on their unique educational continuum. Even when my daughters were in their first year programs I was blown away at conference time by how the teachers knew and understood their personalities and learning styles so well, despite only spending 2 or 3 mornings together each week. The Village School is truly such a special place, and we could not ask for a better first school experience for our daughters. We'll be sad to send our last off to kindergarten next year, but know that she has all of the tools she needs, socially, emotionally, and academically, to set her up for success!
Our family loves this amazing and nurturing school! My children are so excited to get there each morning, and full of stories of fun and play and learning at the end of the day. The Village School community is wonderful and welcoming for kids and parents alike - we are so happy to be a part of it.
When we moved to Milton, we looked at the preschool options and there was one clear winner: the Village School! They offer an exceptional play-based and emergent curriculum where the kids foster strong friendships and they learn to be caring and compassionate members of their community. The children enjoy outside play and nature, I love that they get fresh air in all types of weather. The faculty is kind, knowledgeable, and committed. The parent community is amazing and allowed me to meet many new friends as a newcomer to Milton. It's a hidden gem and provided a great foundation for my daughter's admission to her elementary school. Can't recommend highly enough!
All three of my children have attended the Village School and could not have had a more magical preschool experience. The nurturing, play-based environment, top notch staff and commitment to outdoor play was the perfect introduction to school and fully prepared my kids to be confident, independent kindergartners.
