When my daughter first started at Village Academy things were great. Ms. Tina was absolutely amazing and the staff was friendly. Fast forward a couple of years and it has now become the worst place to have your child at. The teachers are rude, disrespectful and act as if they could care less if your child is in the class. My daughter became upset when I was trying to leave to go to work and the teacher acted as if she didn't exist. Seeing how the teachers are staff treat me and my daughter it was no surprise she was upset to be there. What ever happened to taking her hand and showing just a little attention to calm them down. Apparently the teachers and staff are taught to no longer care. Their attitudes toward me and my child has worsen over time. They are no longer family oriented.

My son had been at the same school since he was 8 weeks old where everyone knew him and loved him. I had agonized over moving, worrying about finding another school like that. I shouldn't have! He is so happy. He's in Ms Christina's class, she has the perfect balance of structure and nurturing. He's so excited to get up and go to school. He runs ahead to his class. It is so convenient that I can sign him up for other activities like swim lessons and I'm very happy with the security features of the school.

When I first brought my son there this place was still village academy and it was awesome. Now it has changed hands and become a corporate all about the money daycare. My son used to come home with all kinds of arts and crafts things now all they use is paper plates. Prices went up when the new owners came in and quality has gone way down. Talking to the director of this place is like talking to my little sister. None of my complaints were dealt with and I was lied to multiple times about adding more teachers to rooms for more control of the children. Worst place to take your kid in St. John’s county.

It was recommended by Ms. Dorothy at Village Academy that my child have a speech and hearing evaluation test. As any concerned mother would, I scheduled the appointments. I had the appointments and he was perfectly fine (as I suspected). Even though the appointment was recommended by the daycare and teacher, they would not work with me when it came time for me to bring in him after the appointment (late). Laura or Lauren told me that I needed to get him there by 11 am if he had an appointment. I felt like they should have made an exception but I let it go since it was their policy. 2 days letter my husband and I had an appointment an hour away that required us to leave before the daycare opened so naturally we had to take our son with us. We called the daycare at 10 am to inform them of our appointment and the situation as to why he was going to be late. I also informed them that he would be there before 11 since they said it was the cut off time. They told me he could not come because he was late earlier that week. Needless to say this seemed to be some sort of power trip since I was told the cut off was at 11 am with an appointment. My son is 2 years old. Whether he is there or not, the daycare does the same thing everyday. His arrival would not have been disruptive since he was coming well before lunch and naptime. The needs of my son were no longer a priority to Rachel or the teacher Ms. Dorothy so I requested them to pack his belongings and bring them to the front for me to pick up. When I got there of course they did not have his things available for me to pick up. When I walked in there was hostility written on Rachels face and she requested a payment. No ma'am. My son attended this daycare for a year and was never late - ever. Never gave them any problems whatsoever. I am not sure why they suddenly became so difficult with me but I did not appreciate it. I was considering changing his daycare anyway because it is out of the way and they do not serve breakfast and his class size is way too big. -- Something to consider. Thankfully I found a much better daycare. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, please be warned

Horrible experience! The teachers are nice for most part but front staff are liars and two faced snakes especially Rachel and tony!!!! My daughter became extremely ill after being given a contaminated/unsanitized cup was throwing up for days! Allow relatives not on pick up list to visit with children after a court order told them not to! Because they are druggies and alcoholics Do not use!
