What Parents Say
The Sunshine House receives highly polarized reviews. Six parents praise the nurturing staff, clean facility, and positive learning environment, while four parents report serious safety concerns including unexplained injuries, frequent biting incidents, and unprofessional staff behavior.
My son has been going here for 11 months, and I am very happy with our experience. He loves his teachers and really seems to enjoy playing and learning. The staff is wonderful, nurturing, and we are very grateful for them and all they do to make our son's day better and brighter.
My child was enrolled for a short period of time. Multiple weeks she has came home with marks, bites, and bruises. To this date there has not been an explanation about my child’s injuries. No one has offered to let us see footage. We tried resolving with daycare and regional manager, but no resolution or explanation. We’ve since took our children out and placed them in a new daycare. Please document all injuries your child receives from these child care centers. Someone has to be held accountable.
If you looking for a daycare that won’t ensure your child’s safety then this center is for you. My child was there one year and was repeatedly bitten over 12 times. Nothing was done about it even after contacting regional director and finally cooperate. I was told by center director that her and the regional director thought that it was time for a change of scenery for my child as if she was the one bitting others. That was a complete slap in the face to hear someone say to you because you want and deserve to pick your child up in the same condition he/she was dropped off in. Their handbook talks about providing a safe environment for the kids, but that environment wasn’t safe for mine. The last couple weeks she was their she was bitten almost everyday including the last day. When the come to you with the reports they always act like it’s not a big deal that your child looks like they been attacked by an animal and no one seems to care. It’s very heartbreaking.
My son cried comming here and come running and crying when i pick him up from here. He had a new mark on him everyday when i pick him up. He always would catch a cold here. Dried up snot would be on his nose and mouth like they never wiped it all day. Main workers have attitudes if you ring door bell. They wont call you and let you know if your childs spot has been taken due to your child not being there for sickness.
My grandson goes to Sunshine House. A coworker has her twins there. The experience has been good and full of laughter. I guess there's always room for improvement but I'm still giving 5 stars. They'll get her done🙂.
