Both of my kids have attended SS House on country club rd. My current toddler (now 1) has been showered with love, attention, and happily goes to her teachers in the morning. Staff knows us by name and answers any questions or concerns we have promptly. My oldest also went to SS House and was prepared for kindergarten and still talks about her daycare teachers. The food is good, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack fill up the kids. As soon as they turn 1, no more milk brought from home, it is provided, which is awesome. Another awesome thing is diapers are provided. You do pay a $10 fee, but you aren’t trying to gauge how many to bring from home or how many you can budget for the week, it’s included in the price you pay. Which I think is such a BONUS! They play outside, have reading time, the classrooms are clean and filled with age appropriate toys, and there aren’t kills crammed into a room with one teacher. SS House is thoughtful towards what your children need, aims to give them all the love and support to flourish, and is well kept, clean, and exceeding standards.
The Director of this facility, Keri Moody, is a phenomenal lady! My son was in her car from 1 yo until he went off to kindergarten!! The warm environment she provides is spectacular especially for growing minds. My son is now in 1st grade and still talks about his experiences with her! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND reaching out to her if you are in need of child care!! I cannot brag on her enough!!
I wouldnt take my little man anywhere else. The staff is top notch. My son is learning so much and has a blast everyday. All the staff know him even the teachers who don’t have him in class. They are very personal with me as well, I feel like I have made friends. The food is nutritious with lots of variety. I LOVE the pictures and updates throughout the day. I always know what he is doing. This place really is wonderful.
My 2 year old daughter loves this school! She runs to class almost every day! I love the app where I get pictures of her throughout the day as well as updates about how’s she’s doing. They serve healthy meals and snacks that are honestly better than what I eat for lunch most days! She gets lots of play time outside and her teacher is so sweet and kind!
Our experience with Sunshine House was brief and unfortunately, very disappointing. We reserved a spot for our child in May after taking a tour. We were hopeful for a good experience and were excited with the feedback we had received. The Friday night before our first day we received a message, via the app, that there may be classroom closures. However, the message was vague and did not include which classrooms it would affect. We found out later that this was due to too may staff members being given PTO. I sent a message to clarify and did not hear back. Considering I did not receive a message or call about my child's classroom closing we assumed that it did not affect us. On the following Monday morning I drove to the center and was notified that my child's classroom was closed for the week. Our only options were to keep her home and to figure out child care on our own and pay the weeks tuition anyway or send her to another center that we were unfamiliar with and did not know any of the staff. The lack of transparency and professionalism did not sit well with us and as a first time mother I did not feel comfortable with sending her there. They did not have any regard to how this would affect families and was a huge inconvenience for something that could have been resolved much earlier and in a more professional manner.
