My son has been at Sunshine House since he was 11 months old, and just graduated Pre-K—and if that alone doesn’t speak volumes about this amazing place, let me tell you more. As a very particular and involved parent (he’s our only child), I was incredibly nervous when we first started back in November 2020—right in the middle of COVID. I probably drove the staff crazy calling anytime the app didn’t update every 30 minutes! But over time, I saw how my son thrived and felt safe, and that trust began to grow. The past five years have been filled with loving, dedicated teachers who not only helped my son grow academically and socially, but were also there for us during all those “first-time parent” moments—offering reassurance, guidance, and true support. I even popped in unannounced a few times early on, just to make sure we hadn’t ended up in one of those daycare horror stories you read online. Each time, I left reassured and grateful. Now that we’re preparing for kindergarten, I find myself in tears—not just because my baby is growing up, but because he’s also leaving behind a second family. Sunshine House has been such an important part of our lives, and we’ll always be thankful. And I have to give a special shout-out to Miss Becky! Her love for children is so genuine—you can see it in her eyes and her smile. My son absolutely lights up when he sees her and shouts “Hey Miss Becky!!”. Teachers like her are rare and unforgettable. Thank you, Sunshine House, for five incredible years. We’re walking into this next chapter with confidence and hope, thanks to the foundation you helped build.
This daycare is amazing. My oldest daughter went here now my youngest daughter attends. The teachers have been great with her as she has transitioned from home daycare to actual daycare. I really like how ALL the teachers know who she is!!! Kimberly is awesome with my toddler and has really helped her come out her shell. Rebecca is amazing as she demonstrates curriculum through out the day with her post . The director and assistant are always pleasant when we arrive and are top tier with communication. I would recommend their facility to other parents. I’m thankful for the sunshine house an EVERY SINGLE TEACHER that enriches my toddlers life.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Both managers are very unprofessional and insensitive. They withdrawn my child from the program with absolute no explaining and came up with some excuses that they can withdraw a child from getting care if they charge your card for payment and it comes back to insufficient funds. I’ve reviewed the contract and family handbook sure enough none of that was mentioned. My son never had behavioral issues and I’ve always done everything I could to show my appreciation to the teachers and staff by participating in classroom activities where you bring food and participated each time. Christmas presents, teacher appreciation week.. I’ve participated and showed my appreciation in any way I could ! They withdrawn son over the phone, approached me so rude and insensitive when my baby second home was Sunshine House. Then immediately threaten to send me to collections if I don’t pay within 24 hours. They don’t have changing tables and had my 2 year old bend over to wipe him when he had a bowel movement, which I’m positive it’s illegal. I have a video to prove that as well but can’t post since exposing my son. I did ask why they don’t have changing tables and since then they found a reason to get rid of me and my baby boy. No consideration whatsoever of my baby having to now start at a new daycare and new environment for absolutely no reason. I just get a call he can’t no longer attend and made up a reason that once again is not even backed up! I see a lot of people are satisfied with their experience there at Sunshine House but this is my experience, and I thought I’d share mine! I’ve posted a screenshot of the video taken showing how the teacher changing my babies diaper.
I have had the absolute best experience here. The teachers are fantastic, engaged, and attentive. The directors are awesome and understanding and have helped me with any situation that has come up. I want to specifically recognize Ms.Becky in PreK who is awesome at what she does and my daughter already adores and loves being in her class. In just a short period of time my daughter can already recognize or own name, which I love! Her classroom is so inviting and the activities she has with the kids are focused and engaging! I am 100% happy that my daughter will be doing PreK with her! Also Ms.Kim and Ms.Keyonna who my baby loves and is so comfortable with. They are amazing. Imagine my surprise when my daughter came home doing sign language from learning in their class! These teachers are truly exceptional and me and my family appreciate them very much.
My family and I are truly grateful for The Sunshine House in High Point and its incredible staff. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the center’s cleanliness, strong communication, and professionalism. We have been clients for nearly two years, and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful—especially for my son. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Leslie and Ms. Summer, two exceptional teachers to whom I will be forever indebted. The love, care, and education they have poured into my little one are truly invaluable. It is rare to find individuals who genuinely care for your child’s well-being, and their dedication has only deepened my trust in this facility. If you are looking for a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for your child, I highly recommend The Sunshine House in High Point.
