I visited SA on Handy St., NB yesterday to donate bags of clothing, toys and stuffed animals for Christmas. The lady advised me the bin/dumpster located o/s was full, and the truck which is supposed to collect the contents hasn't done its job. I'm very disappointed that people are not doing their jobs to provide joy to the children. They did not accept my donation because of that. I had another bad experience last year when I arrived there, only to find they were closed. It was a weekday , a week before Christmas.
Ive been in New Brunswick for almost 4yrs now and have been to the Salvation army for many different reasons and no matter what the reason was that i needed help they have always been willing to help in any way possible and did it with a smile...i cant Express how thankful i am that they have been there for me...they have truly been a blessing....ive helped out ringing bell for them for the Christmas season and Loved doing it. Right now im layed up with a broken knee and unable to get there for groceries so out of the kindness of their hearts they are bringing them to me until i can get surgery....i wish i could win the lottery so i could help them to help others...please dont stop doing all the good your doing and i pray God continues to bless you and all that you help.
I have been calling for information for christmas assistance since October 1st once a week for the whole month of october and was told to call back because it was not open to accept application. I called today Nov 3rd and the lady told me its over that enrollment happened 2 weeks ago. Its sad that they lied to me, when i have been calling every week in Octber for information to sign my children up. Christmas this year will be hard for us. Thank you for not caring!!
This place is extremely picky and racist on who they are willing to help I wonder why the Latino community does so well there and others don't if you don't believe it read some of the comments or go yourself so greedy on things they get for free
Very good place there help you so much specialist now in covid19 with food
