We are a family of 5, including a newborn baby. I called December 22nd to see if we could get help with our Energy bill, they said yes and to come down the following Monday. We got there the following Monday and they were closed. Called the next day on the Tuesday and they said to come back the following Monday. We paid the $100 they asked us to pay on it in the meantime as that’s the only way they would help and we came back the following Monday. That was our last $100 by the way. That Monday, we go in there and the English woman who is incredibly RUDE told us they were unwilling to help us because the termination said $167, even though it also clearly stated at the top that an additional $570 was owing. She told us the amount was too low to help & that because Kroger had taken the bottom of the bill for the $100 payment that they would not help us. I said the bottom of the bill just as the same information as the top half of the bill and she argued with me and said she couldn’t take a ripped piece of paper with missing information. I pointed out to her that when the Salvation Army calls in the pledge, they’ll speak to an account representative who can tell them the full amount of the bill and any questions they have and that the only reason the bottom of the bill is missing is because SHE told us to go pay $100 on the bill first. All she wanted to do was stand there and argue, while I had a baby in my arms pleading for help. My termination notice was for December 26th and I just had a baby so I’m not working right now. It’s now January 6th and the power is about to be cut off on three kids. I hope this woman sleeps well knowing she just hurt my family and left kids to freeze in the middle of winter.
they're always super helpful and kind and don't force their religious beliefs on you
The word salvation should be removed from this organization in Princeton. They treat someone truly in need like a thorn in their side. After hours of going through the process of being approved for assistance you are given a small bag of canned food and told it should last 3 months. All that's donated free to them is put in the thrift store and priced higher than you can buy it at any other store, meanwhile the workers are carrying loads of food, clothing and other items of preference out to load up and take home. I have only recently had to ask for help and I truly regret donating to them for 20+ years. Now I see that the word salvation stands only for their own selfishness and greed. My family and I will starve before being subjected to that kind of treatment and for gods sake if the employees are loading up all the food, clothing and anything else they like, please don't discuss and do it while someone is there and getting only your leftovers!
I had a wonderful time visiting this church on vacation. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the pastors (a married couple) are easy to listen to and connect with. This is my go-to church whenever I'm in town and want to attend a service. If you're looking for a church please give this one a chance!!!
If you are in need of any kind go to them they will help you they are amazing people and kind and wonderful. They are down here doing gods work with him looking over them!
