What Parents Say
THE ROBIN'S NEST receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with praise for warm and professional staff, extended hours (7am-6pm), nutritious on-site meals, and strong teacher-child relationships. However, two negative reviews cite administrative issues including poor communication about enrollment and unprofessional staff behavior.
I and my 2 year old boy really love this place. The kids here are so happy. All the kids always greet me and my boy when we come and go. They make it a happy and fun place for the kids. The food and snack here are also carefully chosen and prepared. The price is the best of all the school I visited, and they only close 4 days the whole year! Unfortunately we are moving away, but we will definitely miss this place.
Hands-down best daycare! As a parent, I couldn't be happier with the place. Teachers are super loving and patient towards children. Many teachers hold advanced degree in related field. The hours are fantastic, especially to parents who need to commute to the city, from 7am to 6pm (it used to be 7pm with extended hours pre-covid). The daycare has an onsite kitchen which provides hot breakfast, lunch and 3 snacks (including a light dinner). Honestly I am often jealous of what my girls are having at the center when I see their menu. The center uses an app to communicate with parents daily - teachers share pictures/videos and daily memo. My kids look forward to school everyday and love their teachers and friends. As a parent, I thank everyone at Robin's Nest for making this place so special!
The reputation is well deserved! The staff is warm, friendly, professional, supportive, caring, ... and the list of compliments goes on! We feel really lucky to be going here.
I went on a tour of the facility and was told that there was no availability at the time of my tour, but that there would be in September, and I would be contacted in January to inform me of such. I received no such call, and was told they had no record of my visit. I was told I would receive a call back and never did. After numerous other phone calls, I received word that there allegedly had been enrollment at the time of my visit but that there was not any availability anymore, and there would not be any in September. No attempt was made to take responsibility for their errors or to attempt to rectify the situation. When I asked to notify a supervisor so that this does not happen to other families, I was disrespectfully told to "do my research". Clearly, they are very disorganized and disrespectful of families and their time. If you are considering them, I would be very careful with record keeping and follow-up because they are obviously not.
The Assistant director there was so mean to me because I asked for a wifi password so I could access my email during my break time and she just said no to me, knowing very well that I equally work for Northwell and we take care of the facility after school closes....
