The Potter'S House

For the price I didn’t like the fact that my baby was eating pop tarts for breakfast. Some days there were no fruit at all for breakfast. I feed my baby healthy so how they eat at daycare is a big deal to me. I would never feed my baby pop tarts for breakfast and this was on multiple occasions. If the food was healthier they would be great.

My 3 year old loves it! She’s very excited to get up in the morning and go to daycare. I’m from VA so, child care centers are ran a tad bit different, I would assume, state to state. With that being said, l would love better communication between her teacher(s). However, I believe they do the best they can due to covid restrictions. When I go to pick her up sometimes it seems a bit impersonal. I’m used to having conversations with the staff and getting to know them. Makes me feel better as mother; knowing who you’re leaving your child with. But, it could be they’re focusing on the tasks they have and dealing with the rush of pickup. It’s a Christian atmosphere which I LOVE and they have chapel which is also a major plus! I believe when my child is ready for preschool/kindergarten it would be because “Potters House” prepared her!

Do not take your kids here. My son told me that a teacher snatched him up. I know exactly what teacher it was. She is rude and always has an attitude. My 2 month old was returned to me with his face covered in spit up all over his face that was dried up. He also has scratches on his face. Mind you his original teacher was not there. Turns out, the rude lady was filling in for her. But nobody knows what happened. He had mitts on all day. They have one worker that going to ruin their business. Keep your kids home before you take them there.

Very nice & clean .. However , my 3yr old daughter came and told me that one teacher keep saying things to her .. This teacher has a nephew there , same class .. she was obviously getting mad when my daughter was sitting under the teacher so my baby said she was saying " Girl go sit yo tail down " ... From my understanding , she's beside her teacher so who are you to tell her something when her teacher ok with it. Keep in mind my baby was a new kid there. So she gone be under who she know. Lady was jealous her nephew had to sit down & my kid was under the teacher. Because we have the covid stuff going on , I could never go in to speak with anybody besides the lady at the door. I never said the lady name when addressing the problem even tho I knew her name. But the lady at the door already knew who I was talking about ! SAD. She said she would speak with her , but never got back with me about the situation ! My kid come the next day saying she didn't get to eat snack ! Her teacher was absent .. Same lady was over the class this day. If yall asking for snack to be in bookbags everyday , why my kid didn't get to eat ? At that point I just took her out ! DONT TAKE YOUR KID HERE.

With Covid restrictions, facilities become comfortable telling people what they want to hear. I wouldn’t recommend this place for kids who can’t talk because occasionally a parent express repeated concern, a specific teacher (who’s nails are way too long handle small kids properly) gets an attitude with the parent. & attitude is tolerated by her managers. How are you watching someone’s kids and you have a attitude with the parent when you see them. Also wouldn’t recommend due to the lateness they informed some parents about an infectious disease outbreak they had until their child showed symptoms. NO MA’AM NO HAM NO TURKEY.
