Clinton Branch - Jackson Metro Ymca

Clinton YMCA is a true gem. They have an awesome pool for young and old. Highly encourage this place to everyone. The staff is so sweet, lifeguard on duty. The gym is convenient , great place to have a membership!!

We just want to use the green room for its intended purpose. Why is locked for boxing and they don’t even have classes most of the time. Everyone should have an opportunity at the Y?

Stopped in for a quick workout while on tour. Loved the staff and facilities. Indoor track with slopped corners for the speeders was cool. Great group x room with ample space to burn a few calories. Staff very welcoming.

I’ve been to several YMCAs, and unfortunately, this location might be the worst-maintained one I’ve visited. While I’m sure the staff means well and are nice people, the level of cleanliness and upkeep is far below standard. The showers hadn’t been cleaned, and the bathrooms clearly haven’t seen a deep clean in a long time. There was visible trash and dirt, with tiles in the bathroom sinking and creating a permanent puddle of water. Tiles were also falling off around the bathroom area. The sauna was another major concern—there's a missing plank, and one of the seats has screws sticking up, which poses a serious safety hazard. This place is in desperate need of a proper maintenance manager or someone who can take care of the facility’s upkeep. On the plus side, the gym layout itself is cool, and I do appreciate the older Cybex machines. I’m actually a fan of the older equipment, but they need better maintenance. The one improvement I noticed was the addition of new soap dispensers—unfortunately, they were empty. I would strongly recommend that Corporate YMCA take a closer look at this location and address these issues before someone gets hurt. It’s a place with potential, but the neglect is hard to overlook.

Why is there boxing in the green room? It’s never being used, but when I want to go it’s locked because of boxing? Which no one comes for. Why is it locked?
