My daughter started at The Orchard in January, and we love everything about this special place. The director Jackie and assistant director Nicole are incredible. They are so supportive of the staff and care about every single child. I have seen them helping prep meals as well as helping in the classrooms so that the student to teacher ratios remain lower than expected. The teachers are out of this world! It makes my heart so full to hear my daughter talk about how much she loves her teachers. As a first time parent, I was nervous to send my child off. This was our first experience putting her in a school setting. If this place went through high school, she would never leave. Their curriculum is exceptional and extremely creative. They plan events outside of school hours, and when all the families are there it feels more like a family event than a school function. The love from everyone in this place is unlike anything I remember from school. The Orchard School is truly phenomenal, and if you are reading this because you are considering a place for your little one(s) you will not be disappointed. Also: They send you daily updates about the daily lessons with pictures of your child learning. I love seeing the daily board from the Twos&Threes class with the children's responses. My daughter knows the day of the week and gives me a weather report every day - she's two!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Orchard school. We have been looking for a NAEYC accredited school in Plano when we moved from California (at that time it was called the Grove school) and we couldn't be luckier. Wonderful loving teachers, amazing director, nurturing environment. It's now 2 years my daughter attends the school and thanks to the the teachers and staff she has grown into a wonderful, caring, loving little girl.
This school is truly one of a kind. They offer an amazing curriculum and the teachers are incredible but it is so much more than that. It is a community and a home away from home. When I drop my son off at school I know they are going to love and care for him as I do at home. They genuinely care about my son and want to see him grow, explore and succeed. There will never be enough words of praise and gratitude I could share about this school, staff and community that surrounds it. Needless to say I love this beautiful little school and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
The director and teachers at The Orchard School are unmatched. The quality of care and education that my daughter has experienced over the last year is second to none. She asks for her teachers and friends in the car each morning and she is being loved by teachers as if she is their own child.
We have two daughters (ages one and a half and a three month old) that attend the orchard school. Our oldest daughter has been going there since she was four months. We absolutely love this school. The teachers and administrators all are very sweet and personable. We feel like they are part of our family (one of the teachers even gave me a ride back to the school to wait for my wife after I was involved in a fender bender as she just happened to be passing by after her day was done). They always provide great feedback on how our kids are doing and my oldest cannot wait to get there every morning and rattles off the teacher names on the way there usually asking me to work their names into a song that she has learned from them. Our youngest daughter has Down syndrome and when we asked about her attending, not only did they say "yes, of course" but they were so excited to help us and they have been wonderful with her. My wife is a teacher and knows the value of having good teachers shaping our kids' early development so it speaks very highly of this place that she would trust them with our girls. I can't say enough about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their kids that not only takes care of them and educates them, but makes us feel like they are in a place that feels more like a home and a community than just a daycare or a school.
