The Learning Tree

My son entered this preschool towards the end of the school year and after a big state-to-state relocation. The way he has build community, strengthened his academics to prepare for Kindergarten and been enriched by every staff member has been truly remarkable. I cannot rave enough on how making the decision to place him in this environment was one of the best one's towards my son's development I've ever made. The staff is diverse, warm and truly just kid's people. My son knew Mr. Mike & Mrs. Diane (the owners) by first name in his first week. They assisted me with every question about getting him settled in a completely new environment I had with no resistance. Even now, with summer program underway, they have a clear and pro-active roster of fun and educational activities to keep children engaged and excited. One of the best parts of my experience has been the communication, I'm a sole parent and entrepreneur, so even as much I want to, checking in through out the day and regularly on progress and programming can be difficult, they've integrated a mobile app where you receive updates, photos, videos and documents throughout the day. We love, love, love the Learning Tree.

We enrolled my daughter at Learning Tree preschool last year after her in-home daycare abruptly closed. She is very introverted and reluctant to change, and we expected the transition to be difficult. Thankfully, it was quite the opposite! Our daughter really loves going to school and has thrived since being there. Her teachers (Ms. Keriann and Ms. Kate) have been phenomenal, as well as all of the assitants (too many to name!). Her social skills have improved dramatically and she has learned so much. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is very energetic (and you have to be in this line of work) and so caring towards my daughter. It is easy to speak with the staff and owners and has a very “family-like” atmosphere. We are excited to enroll our 6 month old in the fall! As a teacher myself, I am so happy we chose the Learning Tree.

As I sit here and read these reviews I find myself appalled. I do not understand how someone can write such negative things about a WONDERFUL school. I currently have my 3 children enrolled at TLT. Mike and Diane have treated my children as if they were their own. As a parent I couldn't ask for more. The teachers have been great as well. They have all cared for my children since they were less than a year old. It is rare to find a place that can be so attentive and supportive of children and parents as well. The relationship that Mike and Diane have fostered with my family over the years has been heartwarming. To any parent reading this review I urge you to go into The Learning Tree, meet Mike and Diane, talk to the staff, and I assure you, your reception will be warm and inviting and you will leave knowing that TLT is the right place for you. 5 stars isn't enough...

Both our now 2 and 5 year old daughters have been at TLT from 6 months and 2 years (respectably). The best thing about the school is it's run by a family and doesn't adhere to chain daycare inflexibility - we get individualized care, with individual relationships and friendships. I trust Mike and Diane to take care of my girls like their own and they have always taken feedback and concerns seriously, addressing and answering questions immediately. We love the teachers, and my 5 year old is well prepared for Kindergarten next year (she has started to read!) I believe the best thing you can ask for in a childcare provider is trust and reliability - you will have both of those at TLT.

Checkout the learning tree! Diane and Mike run it l. They are husband and wife and have been doing it for over a decade. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place where children truly feel at home. The staff runs this daycare with such warmth and heart, creating an environment that feels more like an extended family than just a program. We toured many daycares in the area (9 to be exact) and this one was the breath of fresh air I needed. Don’t let the old hallways fool you, their classrooms are top-notch, clean and well maintained. The staff (most importantly) exceed expectations each and every year. They lead with love. Through their hands-on, play-based learning approach, my children have thrived and developed new skills in a fun, nurturing way. The team goes above and beyond to ensure each child feels loved and supported, and I’ve seen firsthand how much my children have learned, not just academically, but in social and emotional growth as well. It’s a truly special place! My kids are in the school full time 5 days. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Go check them out!
