The Learning Journey II

We were getting an excessive amount of incident reports for my child being injured at the center. When I brought it to the attention of the owner, it was decided that because they couldn't get it under control, and that we should move my two year old to the preschool room. i asked if they thought he was ready for that. they said yes. less than 2 months later, they kicked him out because he wasn't ready for the room (required "too much redirection"). No notice. No time to plan for an alternative arrangement. We were fortunate that we had the backup situation we did, but i know of 5 other families that ran into similar situations and struggled when they were kicked out. I spoke to the staff of another preschool that said they had at least 3 children in their center, that were kicked out of Learning Journey, and i spoke to another parent that said she experienced something similar and said that the teachers "choose favorites". My son is much better off where he is now, and it was a blessing in disguise. no more dirty looks at dropoff. no more teachers laughing at him when he gets hurt. and one very happy, smart little boy who gets to spend time with family and friends instead of at a center like that.

If I could rate this center a zero I would, My children were kicked out of this center because I mentioned the issues of their ratios. Per State Law a Toddler room may only have 6 children per 1 worker, when I went to go drop my daughter off there were already 10 and one worker. The owner sent out a letter addressing this issue two weeks prior and when I mentioned something about it, the owner didn't like it. Implied my kids wouldn't be able to attend and I let her know I would do what I needed too and they were kicked out. The owner made excuses for what happened and blamed my kids getting kicked out because of my "Attitude." I fully plan to make a civil suit against this center I don't recommend this center to anyone looking.

Wish I could rate this place a zero , very rude and refuse to listen ,Over talk you while trying to awncer questions they have asked as well as when asking questions they get irritated and argumentative and blame parent & flip the table and say it’s YOUR FAULT because YOU ARE BEING RUDE , they DEFF make a difference between children who recive title 20 & those who are privet pay. They will talk down to you and have no respect “ they are allowed to be disrespectful and rude but you better not be or your kids will be kicked out “ is pretty much how it goes here. As well as they will send your child home claiming fever n child will not have fever so when they tried to send a second child of mine home, when I asked them to take temp in front of me they became very irritated and rude 2 different temps can up so I took child home anyways they said 24 hours child had to be out after being sent home yet they will unenroll your child if you miss to many days because they said there teachers need to get payed . This place I loved but as a single mother already going threw medical issues trying to plan 2 surgery’s and trying to explain I am human I am going threw a lot and trying to do everything they want and it’s being said it’s not enough it is frustrating so I will be looking at other childcare’s sadly the people here are only about money they do not care about you or your children it’s extremely sad they don’t CARE to even try to underStand & are very judgmental if your not privet pay they will look down at you & find a reason to pick you out and make an issue good luck with this place it appears amazing but it’s discusting morally they have no empathy or understanding for others it’s truly heartbreaking!

I am happy I brought my son here the learning and play time he gets is truly great! All the teachers are amazing, compassionate, caring!! My son looks foward everyday to go to school lol I am very happy here

Worst experience ever at this facility! Director is very shady and the staff is very unprofessional! Make sure this is your last resort if you have no other option.
