Our daughter loves going to the Language Garden. We started as early as we could (2yrs old) and she has blossomed so well. We have connected with other parents and felt more involved in our community with the events the school runs. Can't wait until our youngest can go here too! We love that she gets to play outside (even in the rain) and learns how to connect with nature and build her confidence with imaginative play. The teachers are very creative and patient. Highly recommend ✨
Our daughter just started at the Language Garden this August and it has been such a great experience! The teachers are all so nurturing and caring, I feel good about leaving her in their hands (and considering she’s never been watched my anyone but my own family for 2 years, this was a big concern of mine). She’s always excited to go to school and I love that her creativity is growing with all the outdoor play. This has really helped to her to gain some confidence and independence away from us and we’re excited to continue here for the next few years!
We have had a great experience at the Language Garden this past year. My child leaves happy and tired every day. The teachers have all been extremely kind and caring. I believe they do a great job fostering an environment to love the outdoors, explore, have fun, make friends, and live a healthy lifestyle. My son is intrigued by things and has become quite the conversationalist this year. I believe he is thriving here. It’s very possible he may have sand in his shoes or a little leftover paint on his shirt when I pick him up. I appreciate the exposure to different activities and letting children learn in a unique setting before they enter years of formal schooling. The program has been very enjoyable for us as a family too.. it seems to attract easy-going and likable parents and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Our oldest daughter just started in the 3's class at The language Garden— this is her second year here. Our youngest is set to attend the 2's class this winter after her birthday. We all really adore this little forest school. As first time parents, my husband and I were nervous about our two year old starting preschool and being out of our sight— but at the same time were eager for her to socialize with peers (covid baby!) and have experiences outside our family unit. Those worries evaporated after her fist day. The teachers and director here are all so patient, nurturing, communicative and just overall, wonderful human beings. When our daughter went through a biting phase it was handled so gracefully, on all ends. I was really impressed with the language they used to help her work through that behavior and also the support they gave me because to be honest I was a wreck about it! That brings me to another thought, they are not only educators but many mom's and dad's themselves and are ALL people I look up to for parenting advice in this season of life. The outdoor, play-based program could not be a better fit for our family. Our active child comes home with all the markings of an adventurous day, smiling and ready for a very SOLID nap. The families who's children attend this school are from all walks of life but share a certain energy and approach to parenting. We feel lucky to be a part of this community.
Love this place so much for my 2 year old. Ever since she has started school she’s become more inquisitive about nature. They’re always coming up with creative and thoughtful activities and crafts that use natural elements. I feel so good dropping her off knowing that she’s going to have a great time outdoors and grow from it!
