My daughter has been enrolled here for over 2 years and she absolutely loves it. This past spring we were able to go to the family camp with the entire Karate School staff from both Atascocita and Fall Creek. I was super impressed with every employee that was there, all were attentive to the students and extremely polite/respectful to the parents. I’m so happy my daughter has so many great role models to look up to- and she is learning great self-defense lessons in the meantime!
I’m writing to share some feedback regarding our experience at the Karate School. over the past year, Unfortunately we’ve become quite concerned about our progress and the overall experience. We’ve been attending classes for a year now, and we’ve noticed that despite the time spent, there’s been little to no visible improvement I’m assuming as my son is STILL a white belt with one stripe. The lack of structured progression or clear goals has made it difficult to gauge our advancement, as we’re unclear to why he is NOT testing. Additionally, communication has been a major issue. It’s often unclear when there’s testing. When we initially began I did tell the instructor he was a brown belt elsewhere & due to different guidelines/practices he was to be tested to see if he could begin here on a different belt other than white, and that NEVER happened! I requested him to be tested TWICE as we had previous training & IT NEVER happened! We understand that karate is a journey that takes time and patience, but without clear direction and consistent communication, it’s become increasingly difficult to stay motivated and confident in our choice to continue at the school, therefore we’re ending our commitment here.
My daughter has been going to the school for several years. She loves it there! Initially, we wanted her to do the after school program and ease her into it as well as build self esteem. Within a few months we saw the difference in her. She was much more confident and excited to go. The atmosphere and instructors are great. So happy!
We brought our girl scout troop in for a self defense class. It was very hands on and educational for the girls and us moms! Emily was excellent with instruction as well helping to coordinate our event. We really enjoyed the class and highly recommend it for other scout groups.
You can't find a better after school program or summer camp for the price and what your kids will get out of it (way more than a Black Belt) Master Tripp Davis is Karate instructor by trade but walks in the light and along with his wife Master Jennifer Davis
