I’ll admit, I was nervous to enroll my baby in daycare. From the moment he started, we felt welcome and like my child was important. He’s been at TGY for ~5 months now and I have nothing but good things to say. The teachers are all kind and competent, it seems like everyone in the building knows his name and knows whose parent I am. Safety and individual parent wishes/child needs are prioritized. The center is always clean and communication is great. They do so many activities with the kids, feed healthy meals, and organize events for the whole family after hours. I am now completely confident in sending my son here. The enrichment, structure, and care he is getting when I cannot be there is invaluable. My only suggestion for improvement at this point in time is I wish the “wobblers” (~9-12 month room) still took 2 naps instead of 1 - and a part time option would be nice.
Upon arrival for my first day providing ABA services at The Growing years I was welcomed by Ms. Zenobia who’s uplifting character immediately made me feel welcomed. I was brought into the classroom which I would be working in and showed around. Ms. Tameka explained in great detail all of the information I needed to know about my client. She was very knowledgeable of her students and I observed her handling classroom procedures with great care. Ms. Skyla was also in the classroom who is equally as welcoming and kind hearted. I also noted several classroom art works displayed on the walls, cleanliness of the classroom, and I especially appreciated the open environment this center offers. I. am looking forward to continue providing services with in this center. It seems to be a wonderful place.
We’ve had a wonderful experience at The Growing Years! Our oldest started during the height of COVID, and as a nervous parent, the camera access gave me so much peace of mind. I always felt connected and reassured knowing I could peek in and see how my child was doing throughout the day. The curriculum is strong, and the teachers clearly care about the kids. They’re warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. I’ve seen so much development in both of my children, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. The center also does a great job planning engaging activities, especially for the older children, keeping them excited and learning every day. We’re so grateful for the care and support both of our kids received here, it really is a special place.
Hello everyone, We are so thrilled to finally share our heartfelt experience with The Growing Years Early Childcare Education Center in Burlington, NC. My wife and I are older parents—we had our first baby during the height of COVID. She’s what you’d call a “COVID baby.” Like many new parents, we were cautious, nervous, and eager to find a place that felt not only safe but nurturing. When our daughter started at Growing Years at just nine months old, we had no idea how deeply this center would impact our lives. From the very beginning, the love and care they poured into our daughter was unmistakable. This wasn’t just a daycare—it was a second home. The staff caught her very first steps—a moment we’ll never forget. They’ve been there through every milestone, and now, incredibly, she’s about to graduate and head into elementary school. What sets Growing Years apart is something that’s rare in childcare today: consistency and love. There’s hardly any staff turnover here, and that’s not a coincidence. The leadership takes care of their teachers and caregivers, and that care trickles down to every child who walks through their doors. The result? A team that’s experienced, passionate, and truly connected to your child’s development. As parents, security and communication were top priorities. Growing Years delivers on both. Their camera system allows you to check in any time, giving you peace of mind throughout the day. And when those inevitable bumps and scrapes happen (as they do with young kids), their communication is prompt and thoughtful. They’ll call, email, and even sit down with you face-to-face to ensure you understand what happened and how it was handled. That level of transparency and compassion is unmatched. We now have two children at The Growing Years. Our son currently attends, and he receives the same love, structure, and joyful learning experience that helped our daughter thrive. If you visit the center, stroll down the wall of fame—you’ll find our daughter’s photo there. It’s not just a picture. It’s a symbol of our family’s deep connection to this place and its people. We wholeheartedly recommend The Growing Years to any parent looking for a center rooted in compassion, high-quality education, and a true sense of community. This is more than a childcare center. This is the foundation for a lifetime of learning and love. With gratitude, The Tysons ❤️
My experience with The Growing Years has been nothing short of amazing. I have always wanted my daughter to attend school here, and I was thrilled when we were able to get in this year. Here are some of the things I absolutely love: Security – The use of a pin to enter ensures peace of mind. Cameras – It’s reassuring to know the environment is monitored. The staff and environment – Both are welcoming and supportive. From the very first day, my daughter came home defining affirmations and speaking them daily, and I’ve seen her learning grow each day. One aspect I truly appreciate is the collaboration with her teacher, Ms. Tameka, who has been incredible in reinforcing the lessons I work on at home. For instance, I’ve always encouraged my daughter to practice writing her first and last name. Ms. Tameka has made sure to incorporate this into her school routine as well, helping my daughter develop consistency both at home and in the classroom. This has been such a wonderful experience, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for us at The Growing Years!
