What Parents Say
The Growing Tree has highly polarized reviews. Most parents praise the caring staff, clean environment, educational activities, and long-term reliability, with several families using the center for years. However, a few parents reported serious concerns including staff rudeness, excessive timeout discipline, excessive screen time, and perceived favoritism toward the director's family members.
I love this daycare. All three of my girls have gone here. My oldest just turned 17. Debbie is an amazing and very caring. She is based on respect, you show her and her staff respect and you will have someone in your corner everyday. I had to move my girls out of a daycare that stole money from the state. I haven't had an issue with Debbie or her staff in the many many years I have been going here. I trust everyone at this faculty and their judgement. I never had to fight to get my daughters to go in the mornin, especially in the summer time. Field trips and fun filled days. My only regret, I cannot accompany on these field trips due to work. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
My son loves The Growing Tree and I do too. Staff is always quick to answer questions and to inform parents of incidents that occurred that day. Debbie is easy to work with and genuinely wants the best for the kids in her care.
I had a lot of trouble with this Daycare. The director was very cold and callus. It appeared to be about the money for her. The environment was to sterile. I love for my kids to have a clean, fun environment, but this was too clean. There were a few staff that were good to the kids, but my 5 year old started to complain when we would drop her off because her teacher would yell at her. She has never complained to go to daycare. She also was placed in timeout for 5 hours one day because she spilled milk at lunch. Always 2 sides to each story, but my daughter is pretty truthful and told me it was an accident. Even if it wasn't, there is no excuse to put a 5 year old in timeout, away from all other children for 5 hours. They watched an excessive amount of tv as well. We have had 3 different day cares now because of relocating and this one is by far the worst. If I were you I would find another day care as this one is not a great place for your child.
I used to go here as a kid and would get bullied by the owners granddaughter all the time. Up until 2017 I was stuck in a place close to hell. There was only 1 teacher that wasn’t psychotic and she left after 2 years. They under fed us and put kids in time out for 5 hours (except the granddaughter). Was unfair to me and a whole bunch of other kids that didn’t act a certain way or accidentally spilled their milk. 1/10 don’t put your kids through hell.
Very clean environment, very organized, very structured. It is a little bit more expensive, but I find it's worth every penny. I've had experience with 6 other daycares and this one was by far the best! My kids were always clean and well behaved when I picked them up!
