Two of my children have or are currently attending the daycare/preschool programs at The Growing Place. I can’t say enough good things about the director, staff and programs they run. I drop off with peace of mind knowing that my child is well cared for in a safe, fun learning environment. Both of my children were a little delayed with their speech, and within a few short weeks of attending TGP, I saw so much progression. They are also easy to work with in terms of allowing my son’s Early Intervention specialists come into the facility to provide his services. 10/10 recommend!
The Growing Place is an absolute gem. As one reviewer stated, it is not the most state of the art daycare. However, kids don’t need state of the art facilities, they need a safe space with professionals who will help them learn and grow. TGP has a very holistic, child centric approach that puts focus on learning and fun. Not all day cares and preschools are created equally, I highly recommend this place and truly believe it is one of the best in Syracuse!
Both of my kiddos and all my nieces and nephews attended TGP. The staff is EXCELLENT and very safety conscious. Their programs are well run and age appropriate in an effort to prepare children appropriately for kindergarten. I literally never had a single complaint and we were more than pleased with our experiences with both children!
Our daughter was a learner at the Growing Place for two years. We traveled almost 1/2 hour from our home to the Growing Place each day so our daughter could have a safe and nurturing experience while we were at work. Everything the Growing Place did was child-centered. We had checked out several different places in Syracuse, and there was no other place like this. The academic and social-emotional growth that our daughter experienced in her two years at the Growing Place was unmatched. Not to mention, she experienced joy daily! The Growing Place was undoubtedly the best choice we could have made for our daughter.
Horribly old and smelly facility. I would say it is a health hazard for little ones and must be checked. In fairness, majority of staff are very nice people, but not all.
