The Goddard School

If you want to spend a small fortune to have your children be babysat by screens then you’ll be very happy here. The kids are consistently planted in front of computer or tablet screen streaming YouTube. It’s more of a babysitter situation than a school. It is missing so much in the environment and culture of a standard daycare. The teachers come off inexperienced and there is a lack of engagement, enrichment and curriculum. Most of the staff avoids eye contact or communication with the parents, personally experienced by us and witnessed happening to other parents. This was noted in someone else’s recent review too and they’re spot on across the board in their review. There were a few amazing teachers who engaged with parents and really cherished the kids but they either get fired or leave of their own choice due to the work environment. This facility is not well maintained, dark, and heavily fragranced by glade plug ins in the hallways and classrooms. There have been issues with teacher ratios causing other parents to report them to the state and they had to close early one day very last minute because of it. There also have been repeat issues of my 3 year old still in her nap time pull up with poop oozing out to her pants because they do not actively support the potty training or routine bathroom break needs of preschoolers. She’s also been denied a chance to run in and go potty during outdoor play because there weren’t enough teachers. I emailed about my concerns and never received a response despite the email being delivered. I suspect it will be denied it was ever received despite us receiving response to other emails sent to the same email addresses. Really just a poor experience all around.

Coming from another Goddard School location in Edmond, OK… this Jenks location is not even close to the same caliber. The school is outdated, dark and loud. The 4 year old class teachers came across inexperienced and cold, to myself and other parents spoken to. For 5 days, while dropping off and picking up my child we were never acknowledged by a teacher, my daughter was never welcome nor assisted with the drop off transition. I never received any art or tangible thing that anything was worked on, daily updates were severely lacking or wildly incorrect - seems like a weird thing to dishonest about. The teachers only sat behind their computer every drop off and pick up, never once communicating with parents unless it negative. I suspect several other Goddard standards were not upheld based on other observations made regarding food, drinks, and curriculum. Long story short, 5 days I had enough and enrolled her at another local school. For additional context: My daughter who is almost 5, has been in daycare since she was 2. She has never disliked or cried going to any daycare until I enrolled her at this location.

I was told great things about Goddard before having my kids attend, and can say it has lived up to expectations. My kids have been attending for almost two months and so far I’ve been very happy with the school. Everyday they are excited to attend and don’t want to leave when it’s time to go. The teachers are all enthusiastic about their work and seem to care about the kiddos. Overall a great daycare to send your kids!

Our son LOVES this school, he always comes home showing us something new he's learned. He talks about his friends he's made all the time. The staff has all been over the top kind and caring. I have no complaints about this facility! His teachers have all been so helpful in his journey!

Love it here! My kids are so happy, we get updates on them throughout the day and if I need to check on them they’re more than happy to check with their teachers for me! Absolutely amazing place and amazing staff!!
