So much love for the Family Academy. Our son attended here for years, starting from the time he was 6 months old. Each classroom was led by caring, creative teachers. Under the center's care, my son truly blossomed. Well before we expected, he was singing songs to us, identifying letters, counting, and more. And most indicative of this center's awesomeness--my son was always so happy to go to school. It also meant a lot to me that the staff and teachers made genuine, impactful efforts to include our family's culture alongside mainstream culture, for example welcoming us to send in books about our holidays, directly engage the class in activities, and share ideas for the teachers to use. Would recommend Family Academy to anyone!!
Family Academy has taken such wonderful care of our two children in our time here and we cannot recommend them enough. FAB took us in during the height of the COVID Pandemic and at no point did we ever feel unsafe or unsure of our decision. From Day 1, our children's development, safety, and happiness have been prioritized and nurtured and it has been a joy to see them grow and blossom. The staff has always been professional, responsive, and friendly and the teachers have been, to a one, absolutely magnificent. The depth of concern and feedback provided on a daily basis has been comprehensive and reassuring. In conversation with friends of ours who have their children at different child care centers, FAB always is reviewed the highest to the point that multiple friends of ours have brought their children to the center. Our children were treated with love and support at all times and we have and will continue to always sing FAB's praises. A top-tier organization through and through.
Families looking for their kids to admit them in pre school - The search stops at THE FAMILY ACADEMY OF BETHESDA. My son and daughter both attended this pre school. They were cared, groomed and educated very well. I cannot write enough of them as my words just will not do justice.The professional services offered are of highest grade. Really impressed with the quality of teachers here. You can tell they are very selective when hiring their teachers and that made the difference for me when I was visiting and choosing schools. We have been there two years now and I have been extremely pleased with our experience at Family Academy of Bethesda in both the younger and older classrooms. They are rare in that they offer a Montessori-style program for infants and one-year-olds. They take care of things for you and are completely child-centered, and they somehow manage to be laid back and provide a stronger academic program than most schools. The kids are all lively and sweet and engaged-- I was a little worried about preschool crushing my son's spirit, but Family Academy really seems to follow the Montessori idea for real and created a real curiosity and love of learning in my 2-year-old. It is so fun to watch him color and wash dishes and it's clear he enjoys it. The school buildings are a little dilapidated, but I think that's because the staff is focused on quality teaching for the kids rather than expanding and looking fancy to attract more parents. Anyway they are meticulously clean and each classroom is it's own house, which is really cute. Definitely recommend this school if you can get a spot.
Our baby girl was here from 3 months to 6 months old. At 6 months old, I decided to quit my job and stay home and take care of her full time, however, I can’t say enough amazing things about FAB during the 3 months our daughter was there. The growth she showed in 3 months was incredible. Now, 6 months, she excels at tummy time, sitting up, rolling over both ways and socializing in general and I know FAB helped with all of these. The teachers are amazing- they truly care and we could see how much they loved her and she loved them. Great communication and friendly caring people all around. We would go back in a heart beat.
