The Discovery Years

My younger daughter just graduated from "Discovery years" to attend transitional kindergarten. She has been in this school since she was 18 months old. She attended every classrooms in this fantastic school. She had great time in every classroom (2/3/4 yrs classroom) and loved every teacher. The Director, Ms. Nahzie always hires the best teachers for the children. My elder daughter who is in grade 2 now also attended Discovery Years. Children does a lot of independent activities, make friends and do a lot of indoor/outdoor play. Compared to other daycare, we feel that the teachers genuinely care and love the children. We are very fortunate to find such a wonderful daycare in our neighborhood where our children had spent their most important years with great care and love.

We have entrusted both of our children to Discovery Years for over two years, and it's been an exceptional experience. The staff truly prioritizes each child's safety and well-being, providing thoughtful, individualized attention that helped our kids settle in smoothly during their first few weeks. Every morning, they eagerly look forward to going to school--that speaks volumes. When transitions occur--such as a teacher leaving--the center handles them with great care. Staff members inform the children about the change in advance and facilitate a gentle adjustment period with the new teacher. Staff regularly curates a thoughtfully designed array of engaging, developmental activities. We couldn't recommend this day care more highly.

My 4 year-old son attended The Discovery Years for the last year and had a wonderful experience. He just graduated last week. During his time there, he bonded with all the teachers, but especially with his main class teachers and with the kids in his class. He was loved, received a lot of attention and genuine warmth and I can say with certainty that he was well taken care of, just like in a family. In his previous pre-school, he refused to go in each morning, while at The Discovery Years, he found his little community and would ask us to pick him up last. The Director of the school, Miss Nahzie is a wonderful person and experienced leader who runs the school in a very professional way and takes great care of the children. My husband and I were extremely grateful to her and the entire teacher staff for the teaching and care, as well as special memories they created for our family. I recommend this school to every parent in my group. A combination of warmth, structure, and play with a good inside space, with natural light, clean, and a generous outdoor area for play in the back. The teachers were truly amazing and I am very fond of them.

My son has great time here. The teachers are very good. Particularly Miss Joselyn is very nice to kids. The director Nahzie does good management of the whole facility and organizes events every quarter. For summer they do exciting summer programs which includes games for the little ones. My son brings loads of worksheet every week. They keep the little ones pretty busy. The play area is big and was a must have for our son.

We have been incredibly pleased with our daughter's experience at The Discovery Years over the past year. The staff has been instrumental in her development, particularly with potty training. The transition from diapers to underwear was remarkably smooth, thanks to their supportive and patient approach. Every teacher at The Discovery Years is fantastic. They create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and happy. The director's deep knowledge of child development is evident in the way she manages the daycare, and it's clear that she genuinely cares about each child's well-being. One of the standout features of The Discovery Years is the expansive outdoor space available for the children. I believe that outdoor play is crucial for kids, and it's wonderful to see them enjoying such a large, well-maintained area. Additionally, I appreciate the app they use to keep parents updated. It's a delight to receive pictures and updates throughout the day, giving us a glimpse into our daughter's activities and adventures. Overall, The Discovery Years has been a fantastic place for our daughter, and we couldn't be happier with the care and attention she receives there. Highly recommend!
