The Country Day School

My son has been going to The Country Day School for almost 2 yrs now and my only complaint is the Director, Mrs Barbara Craig and Mr Bob Shray who handles the billing. I have had numerous issues with Mrs. Craig. She is unapproachable, very rude, argumentative even when wrong, accusatory and unprofessional. I've had to hang up on her because she just wouldn't stop trying to argue. I have heard (but do know if all true on this part) that Mr Shray handles all billing by hand. My issues with him is the constant billing errors and he also becomes rude and argumentative at times even when wrong. One month he claims we have a credit, the next we owe a balance then we have a credit again and I have repeatedly requested receipts for all of our payments to the school for which I have yet to receive. I don't understand how so many errors can be made so often when there shouldn't be anything owed/credited when the account is paid correctly each month. There are some serious issues that need to be addressed and I have heard many other parents with the same complaints. It is really sad that they are willing to lose a student over pettiness instead of any compromising at all. Their "policies" just does not make any sense at all. I am appalled by their only concern is to make money instead of what is best for the children and they refuse to work with parents when needed. I don't know how a school can be properly ran with the poor attitude and increasing negativity that is caused mostly by Mrs. Craig. The remaining teachers are wonderful and I have always been very pleased with them. My son absolutely loves them. Aren't schools supposed to make sure children get what they deserve? Apparently Country Day doesn't feel this applies to them. That almighty dollar, no matter how little, is more important to them.

My children have been going to country day for 2 years and we love it! The teachers are the best!
