My kids went to the Newby's Bridge Childtime for 4 years in various capacities - summer camp, full time, after school, part time. While there was always staff turnover and a need for physical improvements to the center - that is the case for any childcare center today. Overall, our boys were always welcomed in the morning with a smile and a big hug, problems like incidents were handled promptly, they had thoughtful meals prepared and lessons taught, and I felt like their wellbeing and safety were always considered. We also loved the enormous outdoor play areas and that there was plenty of space for the kids to spread out in each classroom. Ms. Leigh, Ms. Debbie, Ms. Angie and Ms. Denise worked as a team to make the kids feel loved and cared for day in and day out.
My child is in the infant classroom currently and I can’t recommend this daycare enough! You can just tell that her teachers absolutely love her and it’s very clear to me that she has been absolutely THRIVING with them. Going back to work so early was very very difficult for me but her teachers and the director leigh have taken a weight off of my shoulders.
Both my children have attended Childtime at Newsby Bridge - my son went there between 3-5 years old, and my daughter from newborn - 3 years old. My favorite things about this daycare: Camera Access Fun Activities Awesome Director Diverse Environement My daughter loved the teachers who worked with her in her twos and up classes. They helped jumpstart her potty training process and were very successful in getting her completely there. They also really helped us getting her off the pacifier (she was hooked). As for some constructive criticism - the daycare's "preschool curriculum". If you're looking for a serious program to jump-start your kid for school, you may want to look elsewhere. When it came toward the end of my son's journey here, he didn't know his alphabet and they weren't even aware that he was left-handed, which impacted his writing skills. It has been a few years since he's been here so they could've improved on that aspect but I had to be transparent and share. Overall, I think there are a lot of good people here (shoutout Mrs. Leigh), who make parents feel comfortable leaving their children there. Like all places, it's not perfect. But I believe that has everything to do with the limited resources/pay daycare facilities and employees are provided.
The staff here at Newbys ridge are simply amazing. Ms. Leigh, Ms. Debbie, Ms. Denise and all staff I’ve dealt with have been a blessing. A home away from home, my children are greatly cared for, I’m grateful for this daycare. Would highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, fun, and an engaging environment.
