What Parents Say
The Ark has mixed reviews with strong praise from most parents about caring teachers, quality education, and positive child development, but serious concerns from parents of children with special needs regarding accommodation, communication, and staff conduct.
I love it here! The teachers truly care for the kids and the education they impart is unmatched. Both of my children have attended this center and has been an excellent experience. At The Ark, they are understanding, compassionate, and very trustworthy. They are under new management and I have enjoyed the new positive changes that have come about. I 100% recommend this center.
My daughter attends this school, and I can honestly say her teacher, Ms. Liz, is outstanding. She is everything you could want in a teacher. She is nurturing, patient, and truly dedicated to her students’ success. My daughter is only 3, yet she’s already more than ready for kindergarten because of the foundation Ms. Liz has given her. The school is under new management, and while some things have changed, I believe the updates have been for the better. Overall, we’ve had such a positive experience here, and I’m so grateful for the care and quality of education my daughter is receiving.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Ark. From the very first day, the staff made us feel welcome and gave us complete peace of mind. The teachers are patient, caring, and truly dedicated to each child’s growth and happiness. Our child looks forward to going every morning and comes home excited to share new songs, activities, and things they’ve learned. The classrooms are clean, safe, and filled with creative learning materials that make every day engaging. Communication with parents is excellent, they keep us updated on progress, milestones, and even the little day to day moments that mean so much. Most importantly, we’ve seen our child grow not only academically but also socially and emotionally. The program strikes a perfect balance between play and learning, helping children build confidence, friendships, and a love for learning. We highly recommend The Ark to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for their little one.
The best school for kids starting at a young age before elementary school. My son loves Ms Liz🤍 and their place. Very helpful, educational and good people.
Definitely would not recommend!!! My son was diagnosed on the spectrum for Autism and has ADHD. He started at this school at 3yrs old and goes to Bucks Hill Preschool 3-5 days for 2.5 hr for his speech delay. He worked awesome with his teacher at both schools.. His teacher at the Ark was amazing.. she taught him sign language and worked with us on helping him to improve his vocabulary. But the owner Carol told us she could NOT accommodate his needs because he was having tantrums and that we needed to find somewhere else to school him because she didn’t want other children in his class to mimic his behavior… We had a meeting with both schools to see what we could do to further help him out, she then lied in the meeting and said she never told me she could not accommodate him… From there she would constantly call me at work to leave and come get my now 4yr old whenever he had a meltdown. You would think they would know to take him into another room to have him calm down especially because it didn’t happen so often… I once stood in the hallway and listened to the way a teacher spoke to my kid -TRIGGERING HIM- as he literally walked into the school not even 1 minutes after I dropped him off. So I rung the bell and asked to speak to her about the way she had just handled my child! She stood there looking stupid and guilty apologizing multiple times but imagine how often they spoke to or mistreated him without me knowing and HEARING it. I was pulled into the school during drop off & approached by Carol and another teacher telling me how this teacher I literally just seen the night before was bitten by my son ALTHOUGH THE TEACHER NEVER MENTIONED IT DURING PICKUP… saying I’m fine, he didn’t break the skin or leave a mark and I pushed him off before he could really grip it, wasn’t a big deal- all while Carol standing there letting me know it’s “HER” school and instead of calling me to tell me, she ‘couldn’t find my number’ and felt the need to tell me in person…ALTHOUGH she calls me to pick him up and forced us to pay for class dojo for communication purposes.. like what?! Horrible. And it smells like old trash in there. And her puppy, JoAnn had the nerve to send my son outside to the bus in 40 degrees weather with NO coat on when I dropped him off in a winter coat on top of a sweater. Then I got a call from Bucks Hill saying he had a temp & I needed to come pick him up. Get there and he had just a freaking sweater on! I go back to the Ark to get his coat and to ask who put him on the bus without a coat, the puppy JoAnn started stuttered & apologized. Like how ofter are you sending him out there without it?! No excuse. Sad.. if your kids can’t speak don’t put them in there. These are horrible spiteful people and the worst part about them being so horrible is the fact they behave this way while the school is IN A CHURCH!!!
