What Parents Say

Reviews are mixed. The childcare/fun camp area receives high praise for staff helpfulness and age-appropriate facilities, though limited in size. However, the gym facility itself has significant maintenance and cleanliness issues, inconsistent service quality across locations, and hidden fees that frustrate members.

Every time I come into this gym I am welcomed like a family member. I had my sons 1st birthday party here in their child center. Though it is on the smaller side, its perfect for little kids. With a ball pit, slides, and plenty of age appropriate toys. The women that helped us were Lauryn & Terri-anne, they were so helpful and had everything ready before I even had to ask. Such a great experience, and a fantastic perk to have child care while working out as well. The ladies that work there are so upbeat and always put a smile on my face. Thank you AK Club!

I am a guest at this gym i am absolutely pleased with the way the front desk lady Lauryn she has helped me every time I have an issue. She is very kind and patient with me every time I need help reading something I started to loose my eye sight after a bad accident and it has been getting worse quickly. And today even when someone was being absolutely rude and disrespectful all because he did not understand the policy I guess she remained very calm and professional. I certainly could not put up with it I know for a fact that she doesn’t get paid enough to just get yelled at. This woman needs a raise :)

Alaska club is a joke. You would think for the price ur getting the most premium gym ever with the best equipment known to man but its all so mediocre. dirty sometimes. outdated. has absolutely no character. the staff is great. the actual gym is intolerable for the price. demo everything and start over i know you have the money to do so. compared to other gyms in anchorage, alaska club is actually inexcusable. im hating so much because why is it so expensive and you get the most mid gym ever.. do something about this. nordic spa better be the best thing ever. i swear if nordic spa makes the money worth it then ill shut up but its probably not gonna open until 2030. just keeping it real. but no actually if you can hear me its either you lower the price or im gonna keep calling you out on all ur flaws and trust me you have a TON.

could you please make sure your sales team tells new members before they sign up of the annual fee? I was not aware and it would've been a lot nicer to know that before getting charged $240 out of nowhere. also, please clean the hot tub, some of the bubbles are literally brown and its been like that for 2 weeks now. the hole next to it is caked in gunk too. that's definitely not okay to sit in at this point. thank you

I really want to love this club because of its proximity to my house and the “amenities” offered but the price is absolutely incongruent with the quality at this club. The tanning rooms are filthy (I had to complain to 3 different people including the facilities manager to get it vacuumed), the locker rooms are often dirty and with no clean towels, the jacuzzis have both been broken for almost 3 weeks with no estimated time of reopening, and the Nordic spa (which we were told would be open by Jan 1) now has no estimated opening date. Every time I speak to someone at the front they say “we’re sorry for this inconvenience” and offer no other solutions. Very disappointed with this gym for the premium we pay.
