We absolutely love TLC Montessori! Our 19-month-old son has thrived here in just 3 months. He adores his teacher, Miss Abby, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and education he’s getting. It’s amazing how much he’s learned in such a short time; he’s already saying 40-50 words and surprises us every day with new skills. The environment is nurturing, calm, and perfectly set up for little ones to explore and grow. We feel so grateful to have found this school and can’t recommend it enough!
We started with TLC in August of 2025; we immediately noticed changes in our 3.5 year old. The lessons taught were reiterated- continents were spouted, colors were being said in Spanish! Our child was flourishing! Ms. Elourde is amazing and I’d highly recommend TLC to any family looking for a place for their child to be cared and loved.
My son has been going to TLC for 1.5 years he is now 5 years old and I have seen a great improvement in his overall manners and behavior compared to the horrible experience we had with Kindercare centers. He now knows his colors, numbers, alphabet, please/thank you, hello and goodbye in MULTIPLE languages! The montessori approach allows children to excell at what they love to do as opposed to having to adhere to rigid guidelines. The staff/ teachers here have all been wonderful and communicate well! We LOVE TLC!
I send my two kids to TLC. I have had my son enrolled since he was a toddler at 18 months and he is turning 5 in February. The staff are phenomenal and they foster a safe/positive space for your children to grow. Additionally, once the kids transition from the toddler room to Preschool - the curriculum offered is out of this world. My son just started full time in the preschool room in August and he is able to count to 100, understand the basic concepts of addition/subtraction, and the preschool teacher also introduces other languages like spanish and french to the kids. The price point (like all other daycare and preschools in Lombard) is pricey but the value given back in seeing these educational milestones is priceless. I recommend this place to any Lombard area family looking for a daycare/preschool.
We are new to TLC Montessori but are loving it!! Our kiddo was in an in home daycare since 6 mos old and when it unexpectedly closed we had to find a new place quickly. We were nervous to try a center but TLC has given our little guy so much attention and love and his development has exploded in the short time he’s been there! Within just a few days he has > 10 new words, is saying a few 2 word combos, is using sign language regularly, newly points to his bottom and tells us when he’s gone #2, eats more variety of foods, and comes home happy. He is 17 mos old for reference. He’s also really blossomed in terms of curiosity and creative play since starting there too - he now plays kitchen and other pretend play he didn’t do before. He comes home w cute crafts and activities every day. I feel happy and excited to drop him off every day knowing he’s learning way more than he ever would at home w me. I don’t have any feeling of guilt or worry I sometimes hear parents w kids at other “center” environments describe. We love his teacher Miss Abby and he lights up when I tell him that it’s time to leave for school to see Miss Abby. Miss Elourde is just the loveliest, sweetest human and has a lot of experience with the Montessori approach. We’re so grateful for everything TLC has given our family! Thank you!
