Parents are sharply divided on the quality and safety of care provided.
As a first time, mom putting a child into pre school, was a delicate thing. I was very picky. I was blessed to find Sweet peas! The facility is clean, organized, and filled with fun interacting learning for toddlers. The staff is excellent! Very attentive to the needs of each child. If I have any issue at all they are quick to address it and are very approachable. They often have theme weeks, where the kids get to express themselves individually. They celebrate birthdays and other special days with healthy snacks and fun. My daughter feels so loved and safe here. She's always excited to go to school and brings home beautiful projects and stories! I love that I have access to daily reports and pictures of my little ones activities. Thank you sweet pea for being so awesome!! I recommend you guys to everyone 😁
We have two children that attend sweet pea..and have NEVER seen, more less experienced any issues with the staff or the facility..the staff have always been professional and dedicated to the quality of child care parents expect..the director Mrs Erin has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to accommodate our personal needs..I wholeheartedly feel that the children are #1 in the staff's priority's..we WOULD,HAVE AND WILL recommend this preschool to family and friends!! Thank you MRS Erin and staff for the service you provide for the children of our little milwaukie. Sincerely, Jenny m. And family
My wife and I both work full time and it was a huge relief to have an affordable, safe place for our son to be while we worked and it was really nice to have the peace of mind to know he was learning everyday as well. My son is at the top of his 5th grade class and is testing way above the state average and I know it was from the jumpstart he got at Sweet Pea Preschool.
Pulled our three year old from care due to lack of cleanliness, organization, and supervision. Multiple complaints about our kid being bullied yet continuously coming home with injuries. And even having to leave work to take her to urgent care when a another student threw sand in her eyes, though all injuries we were told were "accidents". kids running the adults and not the other way around. Lunchbox returned with open containers of half eaten food and garbage daily. And teachers in the afternoon who can not tell me basic information about my daughter such as if she napped or ate. Nor could they help me find her belongings upon pick up or even tell me which coat or shoes she wore that day. When we pulled her out of care after multiple incidents and an event of a teacher lying about my daughter being hurt saying she was crying over another student taking her toy, and than changing stories that it was a "special needs student" after my daughter told me the kid hit her with the toy (with a red mark on her forehead to match) I emailed the director, who did not respond for two weeks, than called my concerns "ranting" and accused me of only trying to dodge payment, despite me never mentioning payment or lack there of. I always planned on settling my account, which i planned to address upon her response. My full review can be found on their Facebook page, there is not enough space here for the full spectrum of issues we had. I would be happy to send screenshots of my emails with the director to show proof of her unproffessional response to my concerns of care. I would also like to point out the post below me by "Jenny mcAdams" was very conveniently posted only one hour after my response email to the owner, where I made it clear to the owner I would be leaving reviews about the quality of care and her unproffessional response to our concerns. Perhaps it is real but I find it Convenient that person seemed to address my exact concerns expressed in my email only one hour prior, and they only have one single review, being sweet pea, and no other info...
I took my daughter here and they were great at first, but then the director at the other location fired the entire staff and doubled the amount of kids in one location. My daughter was also severly bullied for 6 months without resolution on there end, therefore u pulled her from this preschool.
