What Parents Say
Sunshine House receives overwhelmingly negative reviews citing corporate inflexibility and aggressive billing practices, though some parents praise individual directors and teachers. Major complaints focus on lack of compassion regarding payment issues, excessive fees, safety incidents, and unresponsive management, while one positive review highlights friendly and professional staff.
7/8/25. I received a phone call from my fiance at 4:44 because she lot her keys inside the house. I cannot stop what I'm doing cuz I'm a tow truck driver. I have etas I have to meet so my boss had to get the key from me and take it to her. So she arrived at 5:45 and y'all want to charge her a late fee. Make a courteous and y'all need to understand that everybody cannot just drop what they're doing to help their sniffing others. So if I was you to give us our $41 credit back. If you have a issue about that, feel free to message me here. I'll be glad to call me and the manager of the facility has taught about it. So there's no reason for you to try to call her and talk to her about it cuz she already knows and she's supposed to be messaging y'all about it
I love the location that my child attends, but I feel like the corporate office is slow to respond and lacks professionalism. I say this because my older child applied to attend summer camp there with his younger sibling, and we've been in limbo waiting for approval for WEEKS simply because he has high functioning autism. He is in regular classes at his elementary school, he's been student of the month, has good grades, and has NO behavior issues. He is a model student, but because I listed he has high-functioning austism, we have to wait for someone at the corporate level to look at his file to move forward. The summer is halfway over, and it feels like he's being penalized for being on the spectrum.
This place only cares about money and money only.and in today's times it's not always about money. They don't care about the kids that attend there or the parents. My daughter has been enrolled in center for 2 years and just recently my account was hacked for fraud and money was taken. I informed the director of what was going on and that I didn't have access to my account or funds until the bank finished the investigation. I made a way to pay balance owed on the account and when I went to drop my daughter off, the director informed me that she was not allowed to come back at all. I even showed the director proof of what was going on and she was still so adamant that she couldn't come back. As a working mom that was extremely hard to hear as I was left with no option but to take time off of work to find a other daycare for my daughter. When the center was going through staffing issues and everyone was quitting and parents taking their kids out of the center, I stayed because my daughter loved attending the school. Even when her dad was on the fence about her going to the school, we still stayed. The upper management has no regards or doesn't care about the parents and that sometimes things happen that are out of your control. And will absolutely refuse to work with you. I've never been more disappointed in a child care facility. Don't waste your time with The Sunshine House or the Papermill location. You will be very disappointed if you do
Sunshine lose so many good teachers because they are so money hungry. They have no compassion or heart about parents or children. What happens to the parents who work day in and day out and only get paid once a month. They add on all these late fees instead of working with the parent so the parent can work to afford the cost. My children have been here for years and within the last year or two they have been the worst to work with or even get to care. I will be pulling my kids because they do not care at al!!!
Well let’s see where do I begin? Sunshine house has been a roller coaster for me and my children ever since the first day the first incident I occurred at sunshine house is one01 of the teachers dropped my six month old infant knocked him dead on the floor. Yes, the Director at the Sunshine house out here in Douglasville she is a great Director Ann is actually one of the very few people that actually care about our children here at the center. The second incident was when my child was tripped by one of the teachers at the facility and get again that needed to be addressed and when I try to speak to the regional, I just feel that she just blew that situation off as well because the teacher is still there and it’s still traumatizing some of the kids. I have to say I’ve been trying to give sunshine house grace and been trying to work with them because I do adore the Director, Miss Sandra and Miss Kelly because they step up and go above and beyond each and everything that they do because you don’t find that out here anymore but I’m getting far tired especially when they moved over to this new billing. so far is the billing I’m being charged at late fee before late fee. They charge a $10 diaper fee which entire my son is allergic to the diapers and the teachers barely changed them appropriately but they’re supposed to because of the overturn rate so I get charged $30 for being late for $10 diaper fee which sometimes you forget because if you’re like me a single parent, ripping and running, sometimes things just happen then late fees on top of late fees are being charged and then I’ll turn around and look they charge me for registration remind you I’m on the cap scholarship so they pay the registration. They’ve already received the funds. They want me to pay first and then turn around and they’ll reimburse me by credit account . Does that even make sense? And then from there they charge me a agency reimbursement fee of $45 not understanding what that is I still have yet to get a response for that so I’ve been reaching out. I’ve been trying to talk to the regional. I’ve been trying to talk to corporate seem like nobody wants to hear me out so I’m just now searching for another center to take my kids to no matter how much I love the Director and the assistant Director and how much they go above and beyond the corporation does a care nothing about students that are of a minority or students that have single parents at home
