Sunshine House '9

Very first daycare for my kiddo. I felt safe because the doors were locked by code. The directors were always monitoring the camera. They were very active throughout the center and welcoming. Bonnie, dawn and the staff were good. There’s a Nigerian? Lady who was always there and was very kind. Great activities and take home crafts. The only downside was a missing blanket and a few teacher changes things happen but no other concerns for my kid’s well being. Unfortunately after some personal mishaps the commute was too great and we had to leave. My kid and I will miss their sunshine. ☀️ Thank you for putting a parent at ease with your care!

My son loves his School as he calls it! What I love most about this Sunshine House location on White Horse Rd is that director Juanita is always developing and coaching teachers to teach and love my child when he is attending school. The environment alone is always friendly and inviting! Everyone knows everyone and what I mean by that is my child is able to play and socialize with children of all ages and he loved that! My son has been going to the sunshine house since 2018. I have had 0 problems with the director/staff if I ever have a concern Juanita is always an open door. There is no place I would rather my son go! Thank you all for your help in the HUGE part of raising my son! ❤️

I'm so sick and tired of this poor example of a daycare. Always understaffed, meaning more kids than the instructors can handle. There's no accountability when you ask the staff about incidents concerning your child. They don't ask the kids in a timely fashion about potty time nor do they wipe your child down if they have an accident. This is the worst representation of child care services I've ever seen in my 40 years of existence. They definitely need to remove the person over this establishment because she's clueless when it relates to child care.

My kids and I absolutely love The Sunshine House! Ms. Peggy is doing an excellent job with teaching the kids advanced education. I'm really impressed with what my son has learned in her class! Ms. Joan is also a perfect fit for the afterschoolers! My daughter loves her! This is a convenient location to my house which makes it even better! Ms. Dawn and Ms. Juanita are doing an amazing job running this center!

My children have been going to daycare their entire short lives and I've never experienced the things that I experienced at this Sunshine house. Just to name a few things.... I once dropped my children off (I have a 2 year old boy and now 5 year old little girl) and the director insisted my son had pink eye so he couldn't stay. I told her he had recently finished crying and also the season is changing, but that didn't work. I had to take hours out of my day just to take him to an unnecessary doctor's appointment. He didn't have pink eye. They charge $3 per minute/per child if you're late ! They questioned my child after already asking me about a mark on her face from hitting her head. This was day one of them attending this facility. I never really addressed their questionable actions because I'm not confrontational at all. Today, however, really struck a nerve. They are very short staffed apparently (I wasn't aware) and without a backup plan and expect parents to take their children with them at the time of arrival if there isn't enough coverage. They threaten you with Child protective services if you insist on your child staying. I only have one good thing to say about the daycare and that is they do reinforce education and that was much appreciated. I however would not recommend this daycare.....
