Our son started Starlight Academy when he turned 2 years old and was there through 4K until he started kindergarten. We had a great experience there! We really loved the smaller size which gave it a more personal at home feel. All of the teachers we worked with were absolutely great and really cared for our son. They were great at communication and always there to help if there were any concerns. I would highly recommend. In fact, we have gone back just to visit since we’ve left.
We absolutely loved our experience with SLA! The teachers and staff were truly amazing—so caring, patient, and dedicated. They created such a warm and nurturing environment Gavin thrived. Even now, he still talks about his "old school" and the wonderful memories he made there. I can’t recommend them enough to any parent looking for a place where their child will be supported, encouraged, and truly loved. Thank you for everything!
Our daughter has attended Starlight in their 3-year-old room for about 9 months now. We can't say enough good things about Starlight. We love the small class sizes, home-like atmosphere, amazing teachers, great communication with parents, extensive creative and outdoor play, healthy and homecooked meals, etc. Our daughter loves her friends at school and is excited to go to school in the mornings. We will be sending her for 4k and wraparound care next year, as well and plan to send our baby to their two-year-old room when the time comes.
We were struggling to find a daycare for our youngest after having an au pair for 3 years. I wanted the combo of a daycare center with solid education practices with the feel of a family daycare where my child feels loved and cared for. I was so lucky to stumble upon Starlight that gave us both. The teachers were more than just teachers... they truly became family. Choosing a daycare can be petrifying, so stumbling upon a place like Starlight right in Oregon was absolutely amazing for our family!
The Starlight teachers have made our daughter Natalie feel like family 🥹 she has learned so much in a short period of time attending 4K and wrap care at Starlight! It's been heart warming to hear about her days and feel her excitement being in the warm environment they've created.
