What Parents Say
Standing Springs Baptist CDC is a church-based daycare and preschool program that parents consistently praise for its welcoming environment and quality care for young children. The facility benefits from excellent church infrastructure and an open-minded faith community approach.
Utterly disappointed at the leadership team at Standing Springs. Without consulting with the parents or giving an explanation, they voted to close the Child Development Center. This will negatively affect so many children, parents, and the community. My son has attended since 2021 and I would like to express that he has had the most loving, kind and compassionate teachers. You know the staff love the children by the way my son runs to hug them every morning. Some of them have dedicated 20+ years of service to the church and now will face the hardship of being let go. I really hope the church have a plan to support them. It makes me skeptical about their true values as Christians. I feel betrayed and my faith in this institution will never be the same. Like another person stated before, I would think twice before joining this church. So so sad!
The Pastor is a very a very open-minded person who is has no trouble listening and accepting different religious bales and beliefs. I am Pagan High Priestess and still felt welcomed after a two hour talk. Unfortunately, he will unlikely be able to reach but only a handful of people on a truly spiritual level. As for the church, it is beautiful and large. There are so many members, you can't possibly consider that fellowship when you don't know the person sitting on either side of you. If people would listen to their Pastor they just might realize, the key to living is to love yourself. Only then, can you begin to love another. We can show love to others through our actions but we can not feel the emotion of love until we learn to feel love for ourselves. Why does this church tell people they are safe if they love Jesus and God and they can survive anything if they turn it over to God.Jesus was the one who said " Be Leary of the "Church" you done need to go to a place to worship together. So go know and spread my word "
After 46 years, they are putting their child development center out of business, which is hurting the community they claim to be ministering to, despite the fact that the child development center is staffed by the most loving and wonderful teachers and has one of the best safety and compliance records of any childcare facility in the area. So sad. And they did not have the decency to get any input or thoughts from the parents of the 150 kids that would be impacted by this decision or even give the staff advanced notice of their decision. If this is how easily they discard children, it would be wise for people to think twice before going to this church.
A great, faith-based, Baptist Church that's in the South but and much more open-minded then the stereotype of a Southern-Baptist Church. Great pastors, numerous family events, and highly kid-friendly. They also have an excellent daycare and after school program.
Beautiful church with a large and well outfitted community space. We use it for large family reunions. They also have a very nice basketball court.
