We paid over $1,500 per month for what is marketed as a premium, NAEYC-accredited program grounded in Conscious Discipline and individualized learning. In practice, what we experienced did not match the price or the promise. The biggest lesson we learned the hard way: NAEYC accreditation does not guarantee that a classroom will operate according to NAEYC best-practice guidelines. A school can use the language and branding while still functioning like a high-capacity, max-ratio daycare model. I am also echoing what other parents have described in reviews: when children display developmentally normal behaviors (especially in the toddler and preschool years), the response can escalate quickly toward documentation and parent pick-ups rather than skilled co-regulation. These behaviors are often exacerbated by classroom chaos, limited outdoor time, and staffing constraints, yet the burden is shifted to working families instead of addressed structurally. For comparison, we later found care around $1,350 per month locally, with a happier child and clearer, more straightforward expectations, without premium branding that the classroom experience couldn’t consistently support. This may be tolerable for families with significant daytime flexibility and children who are unusually compliant in busy, high-stimulation environments. For working parents in demanding roles, this is not dependable care. Expect frequent interruptions during the workday for minor, developmentally appropriate behaviors, which are exactly the situations Conscious Discipline is meant to equip educators to manage internally (when schools are adequately staffed and trained).

The Goddard School of Simpsonville is absolutely amazing! Our daughter has been there since 5 months old and we have had nothing but positive interaction with teachers, staff, and other families. We feel very blessed that we were able to choose a school with a wonderful curriculum and teachers who do a wonderful job implementing the curriculum. We wouldn't choose any other place for sweet girl 💕

We have been so pleased with our experience at The Goddard School in Five Forks! All three of our children have gone to the School over the past 6 years. We have experienced infant rooms all the way to the after school program. Our children have thrived and we are so thankful for the attention, time, and care the owners, office staff, and teachers have given our children! I cannot recommend Goddard School enough!

The Goddard village here at Five forks location has been WONDERFUL! When we started I was nervous because I’m a first time mom and dropping my child off at a new place can be nerve-racking but every single person we have met from the front desk, to the manager, to the teachers taking care of my child at school has been nothing short of amazing! Seriously every person is so nice! My daughter has an allergy to eggs and they were so accommodating to her allergy. Plus my sweet girl raves about coming to school everyday! 🥹🩷

We love the Goddard school! The teachers are very attentive, respectful, communicate well with us, and love heavy on the kids. You are treated like family. My child has learned so much since starting at the Goddard. They are clean and implement hand washing and hygiene from an early age.
