St Thomas The Apostle Parents Day Out

There is so much for us to love about St. Thomas. Since the Sunday we first visited the people have been so warm and welcoming. The church is very active in serving the community and offers a lot of diverse programs. The children's programs have created wonderful memories for our family. And I'm lucky to call our mom group my friends. I'm truly grateful to have this church as our home and a part of our family. Everyone is welcome here.

We visited many Episcopal churches in the Kansas City area in hopes of finding our home church, and St. Thomas truly stood out. Every parish has its own personality, but this one is especially welcoming, community-focused, and inviting. We loved that the church holds strongly to Episcopal traditions and liturgy, while also incorporating a contemporary aspect that makes it engaging and enjoyable for youth and families. The balance between reverence and relevance really sets St. Thomas apart. A wonderful place to grow in faith and community!

Wonderful community I am thankful to be a part of. Not trendy but grounded and full of the love of God and neighbor. Particularly proud of all the hard work that has been done to hold us together through Covid (online services, parking lot services, etc). I was growing increasingly cynical about the American church. St. Thomas takes the baptismal covenant seriously (you can find it online, Book of Common Prayer) to seek and serve Christ in all persons. All are welcome!

I cannot say enough good things and Michelle and her staff of teachers! My son throughly enjoys his days at parents day out and that cannot be said about the other daycare he goes to, which makes St. Thomas even more special to me. I highly recommend their program and wish they offered a full time preschool so we didn't have to leave!

St. Thomas Church is a very welcoming and friendly church. There are many activities and events for ages. You can come to St. Thomas, grow in knowing and God, and serve others.
