St. Mary'S Child Development Center

I have two children at St. Mary Child Development Center, and I have only good things to say. The teachers and staff are lovely and caring. They do a great job of communicating with parents and ensuring children feel comfortable, happy and safe. Having been at a different day care previously, I can see a world of a difference in not only what my child is experiencing, but also in how he has taken to this environment. He used to cry and fuss at drop off, and now he looks forward to seeing his teachers and friends. There are really many good things to say about St.Mary’s, so if you’re considering a place that’s as close to home/family as a daycare will be, I think this is one of those places.

My experience with St Mary's was very bad. My son did not learn anything in preschool. It was a completed waste of time and money. It can be described as a "not so good" day care center at the best. This organization is behind money and that is all they care about. They will rip you apart for every dollar where ever possible. The management seemed to be very greedy. Only advantage to this school is the school bus to pick up and drop. Care takers (or teachers) are sweet and caring but your kid won't learn anything or there won't be any "development" of your child.

I brought my son to St. Mary's when he was 6 months old. I had such a positive experience switching from a corporate daycare setting. The infant room had a wonderful teacher and a limited number of babies in the room, which meant a lot less germs to go around! It was overall a positive experience.

My mom was sick and couldn’t watch my kids so I needed a daycare ASAP. I came to this place where I sat down with the “principal” to go over numbers she was writing down on paper and refused to give me the paper to take home. I told her about my situation and she took advantage of it. She told me I couldn’t take the papers to fill out unless I paid and I was desperate so I paid. This is also my first time looking into a daycare. After I paid I was given the papers to take to fill out that same day I looked over the papers I called her and told her the numbers weren’t adding up. She said when you come in we can go over it. I told them that it was an additional $20 a week and the other lady said it’s just $20 and was questioning how much I was making. They began to ask what my job title was at the hospital. Also when I talked to them on the phone they gave me different pricing than when I went in. So I assumed I was paying for two months not 1. I couldn’t even go over it with my husband because they wouldn’t give the paperwork unless I paid. I called them that same day to cancel and they wouldn’t refund all my money. They said I have to pay for a registration fee and COVID cleaning whatever that is. I am in disbelief that a church would be involved in this daycare. I canceled less than 24 hours and am paying for COVID cleaning ??? My kids was supposed to start the week after it’s not like you went to order the cleaning supplies less than 24 hours. Also when I called the following day she said I would receive part of my money by mail. I received a check for some of the money that is not under my name and I can not cash it. A daycare that’s not involved with the church wouldn’t even do something like this. Absolutely ridiculous! I want my money for services we did not receive!
