St. Lucas United Church of Christ has been a significant part of my life, but in the past four years, there has been a revolving door of pastors every twelve months, which has changed the atmosphere drastically. My grandparents were instrumental in establishing a special children's daycare at this church, but if they were alive today, they would be disappointed in how it has evolved into a place filled with drama and neglect. The church used to be a welcoming and caring community, but now it seems to prioritize money over its people, leading to a decline in its once beautiful and vibrant spirit. The constant turnover of pastors has left the congregation feeling unsettled and disconnected. Each new pastor brings their own vision and agenda, causing friction and division among the members. The lack of consistency in leadership has led to a lack of direction and purpose within the church. The special children's daycare that my grandparents helped establish used to be a beacon of hope and support for families in the community. However, in recent years, it has been neglected and underfunded, resulting in a decline in the quality of care provided to the children. This neglect is a stark contrast to the values of compassion and service that the church once stood for. The focus on money and material gain has overshadowed the true mission of the church, which is to serve and support its members and the community. The once vibrant and welcoming atmosphere has been replaced with a sense of competition and greed, driving away long-time members and discouraging new ones from joining. It is heartbreaking to see the decline of a place that has been such an important part of my life and my family's history. I hope that St. Lucas United Church of Christ can find its way back to its roots of love, compassion, and community, and once again become a place of refuge and support for all who seek it.
If you would like to live out your sinful life without repentance, this is the place for you. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. All sin is bad in the eyes of our loving Father. Sin is not on a scale. It is all bad. Do not live your life in sin making a mockery of what Jesus has done for us. We all need Grace in this world. A Just world is an awful idea. If we received justice for our sins not one of us would enjoy Heaven. Blessings to all who read this, not hate. Love everyone, God doesn't make junk! Repentance and the saving Grace of our Lord is what each one needs.
