Beautiful mass experience, with the African American culture woven through. Unique and honoring to Christ

I attended Mass today at 0800 as I was visiting from Columbia. As I walked into the side entrance, I was greeted with the warmest hello and a hug from the greeter who thanked me for being there today. This, I came to learn, is the entire culture at St Anthony’s. Warmth, welcoming and Faith! The Gospel was all about Lazarus and Martha and Mary. Followed by the homily reiterating Jesus’s love for us at all times even when we think he’s not there for us. Further, the theme was also about all the “ what ifs” in our life. Tonight I reflect on “what if” I hadn’t gone to St Anthony’s for Mass this morning- like many I have intentions, prayers and needs: all comforted today by this Mass and this congregation!! Haven’t even mentioned yet the amazing music and choir: they compliment and complete the soul touching experience at St Anthony’s. Shout out to Gwen for her closing song of praise! As a visitor, I was asked to introduce myself and said I was from Columbia and this MASS had touch me like no other. I will treasure my prayer card and keychain. As a child, we would pray to St Anthony for lost items. Well I’m so glad I FOUND St Anthony’s and plan to be a regular when I am in Greenville. During Lent, we forgo or give up soemthing. This Lent I was given something - St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church God Bless You all!

For 47 years my faith life has been enriched by the privilege of being a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. We parishioners are a diverse community of believers from many different walks of life. There are many ministries which give us opportunities to use our particular personal gifts for the glory of God. It is a true blessing to be a part of this church family.

This is the most loving, welcoming church I have ever been to. I felt like a part of the family since the moment I walked in, and was quite literally greeted with open arms. Thank you for spreading God’s love and joy! This church is a wonderful place to grow closer to God.

David Quast… I contacted Mr. David a few months ago after receiving information from my local credit union. Unfortunately, he exhibited a high level of rudeness and unprofessionalism, showing little willingness to assist me. While I hope that my race did not influence his behavior, I cannot help but feel that it may have. Mr. David's conduct was deeply hurtful, and he seemed indifferent to the impact of his words. He frequently interrupted me, preventing me from expressing my concerns, and his demeanor was quite unpleasant during our conversation. I would not recommend this program to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I sincerely hope that his attitude has improved and that he does not find himself in a position where he requires the very program he oversees in the future, as one can never predict the consequences of mistreating others.
