Sprouts Child Care Center At Westminster

The owner, Laurie, was never available during my morning or afternoon drop off/pick up times. So, with any question or concern, I had to find time to call her. There were at least 2 occasions when my son came home with an unexplained mark. One in particular was a goose egg under his hairline (which is why i didnt notice at pick up)... i am 100% sure that he would've cried from this bump (as i likely would have cried myself!), but no staff member reported it. On multiple occasions, my son had general bruises, which i am completely aware is typical for a 1-2 year old, but when I questioned staff about what my son was doing to get the bruises (just for my own knowledge), Laurie encouraged me to reach out to his pediatrician, insinuating my son had some type of medical condition for his frequent bruises. Further, the documentation from staff is horrible, as is hand off from one staff member to another. I would drop off to one person, and staff would switch throughout the day... understandable as shifts vary. However, during pick up, if I had a question about my sons day (which any mom typically would... but esp5me, a new mom at that time), the response from staff was, "I dont know; I wasn't in here then." So, if nothing is written, and there is no hand off, how exactly is a parent supposed to know what their child did during the day..? My list could go on... My son was in this daycare over a year ago (I have moved him to Celebree and could not be happier!!), so this is not super recent. However, I am someone who does read reviews during my research, so I do think it's important I share my experience. I will also note that some staff members tried very hard to be helpful... Madeline was a great example.

If the daycare has board certified teachers they should be able to teach all the children that are there. Not throw them out of the program
