What Parents Say
Elements Academy LLC receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring staff, clean facilities, and strong educational programs. However, one detailed negative review raises serious concerns about safety incidents, inadequate supervision, and hygiene practices that the owner allegedly dismissed.
My daughter has been at Elements for a little over 3 years now. She started in the infant room at 14 weeks. The teachers have been amazing in every classroom. The owner and teachers have gone above and beyond to care for my daughter. They genuinely care about her development, education, health and safety. My daughter loves her teachers and has made some great friendships. I have been very impressed with her development and how much she has learned. It's priceless having peace of mind that my child is taken great care of everyday.
I just wanted to express how much I enjoyed Elements. My daughter attended Elements for 5years and I was so happy. Barbara, the owner, took a personal interest in our family and we felt seen. I was so grateful for Elements and they took great care of our daughter Wave, while she was attending Elementary School. After school I always knew she had good, quality care. ❤️
My son has been at Elements Academy for almost 4 years. He loves it there. The staff is always caring, friendly and responsive which gives me peace of mind while he is there during the day. I love the learning that happens in the classroom each day. My son will be more than prepared to start kindergarten next year! Thank you to all the great teachers at Elements Academy!
I used to go here, but i left because i became too old to attend. The teachers there were very nice, and it was one of the cleanest places. I loved the envoirment that some of the teachers have set. The owner, Barb, was very kind to me and i loved all of my friends and things to do there❤️Thanks for a wonderful time. I hope all is well elements🙃
We have been at Elements for about a year and half. We loved the 4 year old class; the teacher taught our kid both French and Spanish and was amazing until she left. Once she left things went downhill and we realized just how poorly this school is run. First off, our 2-year old got her finger smashed in the metal door that leads outside. When asked what happened, Barbara, the director, made us feel like it was OUR fault that our two year old should know better than to stick her hand in while a door is closing (HELLO! She’s two! Shouldn’t your STAFF know better than to look back to see if any little hands are stuck?) Please see pictures of my daughter’s fingers, in which the doctor said she was lucky her finger wasn’t cut off. Great. When we asked Barbara what she is doing to prevent future kids from their fingers being stuck, she gave me this long winded explanation of how she has to spend soooo much money on door blockers.. blah blah blah. HELLOO?!?!? Here we are dealing with emergency room bills and hospital bills on the negligence of her staff and she’s complaining about an $80 (business expensable) door guard that could prevent future injuries??!?!?! That’s when we really got to see how she was reluctant to any expense that would prevent any future injuries to kids. The second occasion, which happened TWICE, I dropped my four year old off at her class and THERE WAS NO TEACHER IN THE ROOM! About 5+ kids and there was NO TEACHER IN SIGHT! I waited until the teacher came back and asked where she was. She was in the kitchen getting cereal. Couldn’t she have asked another teacher to watch the kids while she did so? Or line the kids up to take her to the kitchen to get the food? NO! THE KIDS WERE IN THE ROOM BY THEMSELVES! I experienced this TWICE!!! The last and final straw, Barbara brings her dog Max to the school. We don’t have a problem with Max. We have a dog. We love dogs. But our concern is: Barbara lets max urinate and defecate in the SAME GRASSY FENCED-IN PLAY AREA in the back that our kids roll around in. We saw it FIRST HAND her dog going pee less than arms-length away from where our kids were rolling around and playing in the grass. After asking her why she can’t take her dog for a walk off the premises (Hello? There is grass right in front by that parking lot or even around the corner she could use as a dog potty!) she said she doesn’t understand why her dog can’t go where kids play. She lets her dog go the bathroom in her backyard at home so why should she need to walk her dog outside and not have it go in the back. My bad. I didn’t know I was paying for a DOGGY DAY CARE. I think it’s cool that the dog is there, however, for someone who ‘takes pride in the cleanliness of the school’ yet can’t understand why her dog urinating and defecating in the SAME AREA our kids are rolling around in is a health risk, is beyond common sense that she can’t fathom. Do you want your kids rolling around in her dog’s urination and defecation? I have a dog. I know when you pick up poop there is still poop remains on the grass. When I brought this up as a discussion, her answer was simply: “If you find this to be a problem you are not able to overcome, please follow the policy by giving your two week notice in writing.” Then asked us to withdraw our kids from the facility. You betcha lady. You keep your pee and poop infested play area and we’ll take our kids to a more hygienic place. (PS Did I also mention in a four month time frame there were four announcements about lice outbreaks. Yeah, that was an interesting summer.)
