Multiple families report their children were well-prepared for kindergarten and remained excited to attend.
We’ve had a great experience with this preschool and daycare! The entire staff loves our children, but we want to give special shout outs to Mr. O who is a strong leader, Ms. Rocio who is incredibly patient and supportive, and Ms. Itza who is very sweet and caring! They go above and beyond! Always understanding and consistent. SWCC truly feels like a second family!
SW childcare has been great for our twin boys. They began as 2 year olds and we were hesitant because of bad childcare in San Diego. The staff were welcoming and most took the time to learn the differences the twins had when it came to their personalities. This was a critical component we wanted in our boys gaining their own independence. Not to mention, Ms. Maribel took them under her wing when it came to helping with potty training. Because of this, the boys were able to transition into early pre-k (at the same center). They will be here until kinder and I am confident their development here at SW will help them thrive in Kindergarten.
We’ve had a wonderful experience with Southwest Child Care. My daughter transitioned smoothly, even though this was her first childcare experience. The teachers are very communicative and have made the transition easier for our family!
Daughter attended SWCC from 18 months to age 4 and the experience has been incredibly positive overall. I have to say that in this time frame, there has also been a very noticeable improvement in weekly updates sharing what the kids are focusing on in class. Administration is very prompt in responding to questions and concerns, and the ease of their communication is one of the best parts of the center (thank you Osbaldo!). While I sometimes wish parents were invited to interact in the classroom more, I also understand that the center is likely minimizing illnesses, operates more efficiently with their drop off system in place, and is easier for a lot of the kids (especially younger). I think this is important to know for incoming families in which this may factor into their decision. The teachers are compassionate and my daughter has adored them, and have helped her tremendously in preparation for Kindergarten. They have been essential in both potty training, learning letters, and so much more.
We have had our kids at Southwest Child Care on Wyoming for years. We have loved all of the teachers we have worked with, along with a few we haven’t. Ms. Maribel and Ms. Alma are the absolute best there is. Mr. O is so kindhearted. The only downside we have experienced is that parents are not allowed into the daycare at drop-off or pick-up. As parents, we want to see how our kids interact with others. We wanted to see where our kids spend their days. And we wanted to see the excitement when they see us. All of that is taken away by having to leave them at the door.
