What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Albuquerque Nursery School for its cleanliness, caring staff, and safe environment. Multiple reviewers highlight staff attentiveness, educational programming, and before/aftercare services. The facility is frequently recommended by parents who feel confident leaving their children there.
My son really enjoyed his Pre-K program here. It’s especially helpful for working parents that they offer before and aftercare, since APS doesn’t allow younger children to attend their programs due to age restrictions. The school provided lots of family engagement activities and followed the state’s Pre-K guidelines. The facility is very clean and they teach the kids good hygiene habits. We made some wonderful friends, and just overall had a great experience.
My 8 month old daughter currently attends Albuquerque Nursery School. As any parent would, we read reviews. I read a review written by Veronica Rodriguez, and being that her baby and my baby were in the same class I would just like to shed some light... My child is usually one of the last babies to be picked up. When I come into the door in the afternoon, the first thing I see is a staff member cleaning. It's unfortunate that her child has gotten sick, but to blame it fully on a daycare not being "clean" is absurd. No matter how much a daycare cleans it will not stop ALL the germs. Getting sick is part of life! The real blame needs to be placed on the inconsiderate parents who continue to take their children to the daycare even when they know the child sick. The staff does everything in their power to control these types of situations. My child who was on oxygen the first few months of life and has several health problems has had no issues with getting RSV... Just to clarify even further I pop in several times a week unannounced to check on my daughter. Even when I go 3 times a day I am still greeted in a kind professional way. I have witnessed staff members giving different babies attention at different times, I have witnessed the cleaning that happens after one child finishes eating and before the other starts. (lunchtime visits). My daughter LOVES teacher Alma along with the others that work in her classroom. When reading reviews my advise is to keep in mind most people usually write them when they are angry. If anyone asks me about daycare, I am always proud to recommend Albuquerque Nursery School. I chose this place based on safety and cleanliness when I was looking for a daycare. We have had a good experience thus far.
I must say this is a great day care. Very clean, friendly and educational. I have bringing my kids her since they were very young, even my youngest since he was 6 wks old. I never felt so confident in leaving my brand new baby in the arms of someone other than my self. Ms. Alma is an amazing baby room teacher. She truly loves and cares for you child. My son was so attached to her, he would even come home asking for Ms. Alma. I would observe the rooms everything I would pick up or drop off or would just even pop in on my lunch break just to check on my baby and he would be happy and content. She is so attentive and caring to each child needs. The rooms are never chaotic, always calm and relaxing environment. I drive across town just to make sure my children come to a clean and safe day care and this place is definitely worth the everyday drive. I have recommended this place to a few of my coworkers and friends and they love it.
I want to first start off by saying, I really wanted to end up leaving a 5 star review but it’s unfortunate that I cannot; I want to be honest. My daughter had been going here since she was approximately 7 months old and it was amazing at first, then it progressively got worse and our ending experience has been disheartening. The staff currently is rude and disrespectful; commentary was made to my 10 year old about “ why do we drop her off early?” While I work early and her father has an inconsistent work schedule in the film industry; basically my daughter felt interrogated. There were a lot of other miscommunications and unfortunate events that occurred towards the end. I hope they are able to Hire better staff and have a better attitude in the future for other children and parents. This is the career they have pursued, to work with children and a bad attitude is not the place for this career.
There’s no other daycare I would recommend! My daughters went to ANS for years. Staff is on top of everything! Also, staff is very involved and goes beyond measures for the kids.
